Right well, recently purchased a ibiza 1.4 mk 3 off a chap off here, and after first drive in it was very pleased, and is such a good looking motor.
Came to my second drive of owning it on friday, and the electronics warning light came on, so pulled over, to consult the manual, which was no help, so gently drove home.
Then just as I pulled into my drive i noticed a wierd tapping noise from the back wheels, sounded like a stone stuck in a washing machine.
So that evening phoned a local Skoda dealer, who also do seats and he said hell pick it up and have a look first thing monday.
Anyway long story short, he left a message with my mum today, and said something bout a sensor gone which has put the warning light on, and apprently i also need a new handbrake assembly, as it was illegal, and new rear left brake, as something about 6 pieces inside the drum and 4 of them are missing and 1 is broken? (mum didnt relay the message too well)
Basically I could really do with the car asap as its my test on wednesday and have nothing to do it in now, so explained to the mechanic my situation, he said he can have it done by tuesday evening and it will be around £300 !!
does this sound about right, or is he having me on?
Just a shame its all happened after less than half an hour of driving my new car, especially just before my test as well.
:/ grumpy me
