Like Dave, I love taking thigs apert and rebuilding them to see how many spare parts I can have left when I've finished.
I'm a chartered engineer with 20 years experience working with thermodynamics, combustion engineering, air/gas handling equipment, and producing control philosophies for industrial processes, most of which is applicable to engines.
But my love/interest has always been cars/engines. There's lots of fantastic books around and tinitinet is a great information resource. Corky bells book is a good starting point for the basics of forced induction, but there are many more out there. You'd be amazed how much there is in your local library.
My limited knowledge of the ecu on our cars is from talking to guys that map these things, along with fault finding on my own car (of which there has been a lot over the years), books, and applying logic.
There are however significantly more knowledgeable people on here, and elsewhere. For me it's just a hobby.
I'm just a bodger......
your car has come a long way Aaron mate, anyone that hasnt seen and heard your car needs to..i think most LCR owners are using your car as basis to which we all want our cars to be..the paint and attention to detail is fantastic...nice one bud.
No real change in the Maf readings, then, Aaron?

Just my two cents worth, when you pulled up on the drive on saturday Aaron, the car didn't sound as 'whooshy' or as loud as usual .... sounded like it was throttled back / choked unless you were deliberately being more careful than usual?
if i leave the ESP on from cold and pull away it bogs down Pat.... something its done since the Remap. i wouldnt give it any stick from cold anyway mate.
