I have been thinking about the engine bay soI have put some new bits on, also put another gauge pod on, this one will be staying though.

Just got to put the blanking plate in and the dash is finished, all i have to do now is find the electrical fault in the ESP[:@]

Thanks mate, Vag-com is the program that lets you read the fault codes, reset warning lights... the interior was a direct bolt in replacement and came from a Audi S3.:D

Phil, whats the bracket that the gauges are mounted on?
Did you fit this yourself?
What sort of costs were involved and did you have to bore holes in the fire wall or does the wires/hoses fit through the original gromets?

Its the centre vent willie, i made it my self all the wires go to behind the stereo, the pipe and wires for the boost and oil gauges go through an exsisting gromet behind the pollen filter, if you are interested i can make one for you. you do need to chop abit of the dash away behind the gauges so the middle one fits. also if you want some more pics i can sort that out for you to.

If you could Phil that would be great.
this is the nicest arrangement I have see TBH, not in your face but easy enough to see.
and probably like you i don't use the centre vents much.
Can you send these to my private email, I'll PM you the address if you don't have it.

Cheers bud

Well i went fishing this weekend and as the fish had gone on holiday i thought i would take some "Arty" Pic's, the lake i was at was in the middle of now where.

Its a bit dirty but i had to drive up a mile long dirt track, i was going to wash it but the water had been turned off.

Slick motor Phill, debadged and lowered a bit is definately the best that can be done to the LC/LCR anything more just spoils an already good looking car.
The silver alloys are very nice and fresh looking too.
You've got a very nice looking car there.

Only one outside mod I would suggest is tear drop shaped mirrors but these are a personal preference

What sort of fishing do you do?
Looks a bit like a carp/game pond.

Cheer's Willie, i have thought about the mirrors but i would want the electric folding and i understand they are hard to find and cost an arm and a leg, i have some LCR suspension coming so that should lower it a bit, thought about the de badging but haven't seen a grill for the LCR only the LC i might just paint it black. It is in deed a carp lake but trying to catch carp in the winter is a bit tricky.

The debadging i was on about was just what you have done removing the cupra badges etc, i think the Seat 'S' looks okay.
You got to the suspension before I did;) but i have some coming with 44,000 miles on them. I should have said they didn't fit your car, lol

Carp are a bit easier to catch than Salmon, at least you have a captive audience

I used my flody mirrors a bit for a start but not too much any more.
Theres a guy breaking a LCR just now, might still have these.

Hi mate,
just bought a standard 2001 leon cupra myself in yellow,
love the look of yours, much fresher and newer looking!
there are a few newer style bumpers on Ebay that come with no
mesh, foglights, etc.. can i ask how you sourced the extra bits?
and rough costs and what is actually needed? Could you use old
fogs and modify some how? cheers Rich.
