got ARB's on mine.....prob I would say better than the coilvers mod wise, made the car instantly chuckable round bends and go kart like. still one of the best mods I think IMO

Has JS put you up to the ARBs comment? :D He has been trying to convince me for weeks but i think i am sold now!

Which ones have you got fitted? Would be an ideal opportunity to do this while suspension is being sorted.

I would also do bushes and a few other bits as JS mentioned in one of his other posts while everything is off.

Corrosion!!! That's not good for my OCD, I can barely sleep due to the lacquer flaking off my brembos!!! :D

Surely that is not an issue with a marque as well respected as Bilstein!

I am only going on what I have heard, so dont take it as gospel. I think Bill is best to comment so I suggest sending him a PM. I know it was somone one here, but I could be completely wrong and got the person mixed up

I have the front and rear Neuspeed ARB's. 25mm front and 28mm rear. awesome kit. quite pricey but you get what you pay for and the quality is outstanding

put it this way, I can take a roundabout round my way like an absolute go kart now and its sticks as well:D

buy them, you WONT be disappointed thats for sure![B)]

Cheers Jamie, Bills been really helpful with my brake queries! I am yet to hear a bad report on the Neuspeeds. Would you recommend anything else considering I now have no back seats and have most likely introduced some loss in rigidity?

how deep are your pockets?:D

roll cage to sort out the chassis

top rear strut brace to sit on the top suspension turrets. then carbon fibre bucket seats with harnesses andrunning them attached to the rear strut brace I think

but thats another 1k with decent seats

also front upper and lower strut brace to tigthen up the front if not done already

Hi Karlos, what makes you opt for these rather than some of the other coilovers mentioned?

i know H&R have been around for a while and i've never heard any bad reports about them. plus, i've got H&R ARB's front and rear which i'm more than happy with so it would be nice to get the matching kit.

and i'll probably end up going for the weitec's because they're made by KW but cheaper. and i'm not overly bothered about bump and rebopund adjustability. the more things i can fiddle with the more things i can f**k up!

Not that deep unfortunately but I work hard and the car is my only interest.

Would the roll cage be welded to the chasis? Who/what would you recommend for top strut braces inside the car?

Seats are certainly on the cards but not until i am closer to getting another car/vehicle that i can use day to day. Plan is to run the LCR into the ground while I grow my skill on the track.

Apologies for all the questions I am still deliberating over how to approach my track project, expenses so far have only been wheels and brakes! :D

Have you been on the track in yours - she sounds quite a beast!

He he! You make a good point! I am a bugger for fiddling with things and breaking them! There is already too much to do in between track sessions sorting pressures ad torque settings on the wheels without having to fiddle with suspension!!! I'll end up needing a pit crew!

I'm quite excited about the prospect of refining the handling, you could feel the roll in the corners at Donington and it probably contributed towards my 100MPH spin off at Coppice :D That and my over excitement at trying to stay in front of a 400BHP Evo VIII!

How soon are you planning to get the suspension?

no I am only ever gunna use mine for fast road use. plans to get her up to scratch for E38 last year, so dont want to stone chip her to death....and the front end is to be resprayed at some point next year

yes I have spent a lot, and pretty much done everything handling wise. On track I can imagine she would be pretty good as she has a nice chunk of power now

if you really wanted something special, then an LSD would be a necessary track weapon

JBS fit one for 1k......it aint cheap

not sure on the roll cage, but if it is to improve the chassis then yes it is going to be welded to the chassis i presume

strut braces...OMP, Momo etc should all be fine:)

You should try the track at least once, seems a shame to put as much as you have into the car to live within the limits of the road. You get the odd bit of rubber hitting the car but that comes off with a cloth.

An LSD would be nice - I think £10K and a full week stripping everything out would see me right. Maybe one day! :D

What is the differences between 9s and 10s?
AFAIK the pss9's have been pulled due to 'problems'
The pss10's are the replacements.
I can't see past the KWV3's, for what you are planning for your car this is the perfect set up.
This will allow your pit crew;) to set this up perfectly and these will last for ages. These can be redressed and he spring can be changed.
For your perfect track set up corner weighting will be essential. These will be perfect for this

I may do one day, but trying to get her up to a mint condition

besides I need a set of brembo's first for a track day as my brakes wont last

Ah ok, I am looking for something that gives me some flexibility to tweak and see what results can be achieved on track with different settings.

I may advertise for a pit crew for the next one!!! I certainly need some of those tangy pit lane ladies like you get on MotoGP and F1 :D

I spend so much time trying to keep mine immaculate but it is an exhaustive and expensive task. i even take the wheels off when I wash mine to probably clean the arches and callipers.

My front is peppered with tiny stone chips and although I was tempted to get her resprayed it would jus happen again :(

A good set of brakes will pay dividends on the track, I a surprised you haven't done this already with the power you are putting down!

I know, tell me about it, but I dont think my wheels will fit the bigger brakes....so larger brakes AND a new set of allows....thats 2k:cry::D
