I got £50 in mine EASY the other week, light had only just come on.

I once worked out i was only gettin about 250 to the tank. Think I've got sensible now, but still only just manage around 300

40 liters @£1.13 (my current petrol price) = £52... i have been able to stick just shy of £60 in my tank and it wasnt even empty.

Petrol at £1.13 a litre. Thats amazing, here it's been £1.17 at least for the past 3 weeks, and yesterday most stations have gone up to £1.18 and £1.19.

And im not even talking about wee independant garages, these are the big names like Tesco Asda BP and Shell.

I probably might be the only one saying this, but.....
i might be getting a 1.2 ibiza ;)
to be totally honest, i'm not about the speed, it's all about the music! (with even more gear in one, it'll be even slower!)

another reason is that the area i'm in, the lowest petrol price is 1.21 and rising, so a small engine car might help slow down the burning of my wallet ;)

I'm just testing mine at the mo and its on 300 with the needle between an 8th and quarter. And I've been driving like my boot is on fire...
Managed to get £50 in it when i filled it up just after the light came on....it was about 42 gallons iirc...
Fuel economy is such a gay thing to talk about though.
I hit 105 the other day, and the speedo is pessimistic because the tyres are too big (175 65 15's)
What has everyone else managed on their own private runways?

if your doing 105 on a private runway, your only doing about 93 in real terms... speedo i s around 10% out.

100 on our speedo is 90 on the dot on the tw@t nav

insurance.....

since mine is up for renewall on the 3/7/08 i thought i would start shopping around.

by my current insurer i was asked for a renew of - £750 premium and £400 excess. :banned:

to be honest i thought that was stupid. so i started phoning up more places and managed to get these quotes:

Adrian flux: £425 for a 12m insurance. £350 excess unlimited mialage, can take my car abroad etc etc etc etc etc loads of stuff on the policy and for any more mods i do they wont charge me the £25 'charge' for changing / adding to my policy. ALL MODS DECLARED.

Sky insurance: £454 for a 12m insurance. £250 excess, 12000 mile, not so much stuff added on BUT is £100 cheaper on the excess... Again all mods delcared, and told it wont cost me anything for any mods (unless engine or something) but has told me i must make them aware of any other changes.

i am tempted by both deals, adrian flux is better because they gave me more stuff, and i might blag break down cover in there too if they can,
but sky insurance is cheaper on the excess, overall IF something happened it would only be a £71 difference between both insurers.

what do you think guys , also any personal experiance with any of them ???

Cheers

Adam

I'll check it with the Road Angel tomorrow...
Oh and I sorted my headunit, although its grounded on one of the bolts on the door because no others worked!

That insurance isn't fair, I pay 1.2 grand on my dad's policy, fully comp though andI ony passed my test a month ago..

ouch

i decided to go with adrian flux as they got my quote down to £380 :funk:
still £350 excess but they did say that i can do ANY modicication i like (without increasing BHP) for free, with no admin charge, and they chucked in a load of other stuff aswell.

quite pleased really :D

interesting place to ground an HU, why didnt you use the bolt that goes in to the chassis that is near the clutch pedal. (lift up the carpet in the driver footwell and there is a massive bolt there) thats where i have earthed some things to and it works a dream
