To fit the wheels mate. The TT Comps are 7.5" wide with a 32 offset and they are near enough level with the arches. If I'd used adapters I would have had an ET7 offset and the wheels would stick out about 2cm. Which a: isn't legal, and b: would look :censored:

Plus I wanted to do things properly, I'm not a huge fan of adapters, and now I don't need them ;)

Plus LCR brembos... I mean rude not to really :funk:

fair enough mate, ive now got a set of Porsche design 90's in 8s on the rear and 6s up front with ET52 and 20mm spacers which will make them sit pretty level on the arches.

Keep up the good work though, it looks good [B)]

Yeah you can use adapters with Porsche wheels due to the high offset. Not so easy on lower offset wheels.

Hopefully brakes will be sorted this weekend ( post man willing and m0rk being available ) and then I can go and try for the dreaded MOT certificate...

i bought a set on ebay, mk4 polo rear ones.
£12 delivered to my door for the ibiza :)

Just whack ' polo breaking ' into ebay
or ibiza breaking or mk3 golf breaking

mk3 golf ones fit but the barrel side of the handle is more square.

Brembo carriers and bolts turned up today

Looks like I need the carriers spaced 8mm away from the hub so will use 4 washers on each one. Hopefully that will be solid enough :)

So with any luck I'll have brakes by the end of the weekend :D
