Recieved the new bling radiator a couple of weeks ago from Radtec, took 2 months to turn up but the quality is spot on, Didn't quite fit the replacment front panel I bought but as I was going to fabricate new brackets for the top this was no big deal - also lowered it a further 15mm for extra clearence.

Drilled some extra flow to holes into the crash bar as only half of it would of been effectivly blocked off, also decided to mount the 16 row oilcooler in a space in front of the Radiator.

Think I'll start it tommorow, screaming kids outside is giving me a headache....

That's nice Stu.

just make sure there's no gap from the bumper to the bottom of the rad - this is how it gets the air to pass over the whole rad

the 1.4 had a fiarly big one of these - you can see the bottom the rad through the slats underneath without all the aircon gubbings.

Also found the quick release bonnet pins I forgot where I put

New rad vs old rad - corrosion had taken hold and was wet around the endtanks

Take off plate for the oilcooler, fortunetly theres room to put the standard sized filter one or would use a one of a 1.4 or junk the stock heat exchanger.

Need some jubilei clips now

Well, that went well:rolleyes:

Cars not done, had a suspect sticking thermostat which was removed to allow the coolant to circulate, then had a connection on the oilcooler pop off twice cuasing an oil slick the Exxon Valdez would be proud of.:D Would seem jubilee clips are simply not upto the job.

Got the car upto normal temp on the guage (before the oil incedent) but not had the fans kick in question is has the new rad operating more effeciently for the fans not to operate or have I missed somthing on the wires:shrug:

There's no F in Quality..
think about it Stu... Rob's having you on ;)

if you rotate the fans, so the top is now the bottom, the blades will still be facing the same direction etc ;)

the only way that you'll change the direction of the blades is to turn them round, so the 'front' becomes the back ;)
