920 miles of running in completed, best get a wiggle on with tasks before I hand it over for mapping.
The main task is to fabricate an airbox to house 90mm trumpets to feed air from the grill to the trumpets,
To do this I've made a 3D mock up out of Styrafoam to test clearences and when finished, use is as a pattern to mould fibreglass around.
Main limiting factor is the clearance under the bonnet, once the pattern was in place spaced 20mm from the throttlebodies and with the use of some parcel tape to simulate the other half of the airbox. Then applyed dollop of grease where it was real close.
When closing the bonnet it sure enough transferred to the bonnet
Yellow shadded area is where it will have to be notched out to make room, the webbing is around 20mm thick so lots to play with.
A few alterations to be made to the final shape and its fibreglass time.
Now to take delivery of a long overdue radiator(
) so I can make the 2nd half.
