I think as someones already stated they are theoretical gearbox speeds, which could be reached if enough power is being delivered to overcome the massive drag you'll see.
I would like to see the 6th gear seeing as 5th maxxes out at 168mph. I dont think even at optimum revs in 6th gear, you pulling much. I doubt actually you being able to hit limiter in 5th
Like you said, you can only try but horsepower is a factor of top speed. Physics tells you that
Maclaren F1 gets to 260mph on its clocks (242mph real) and that ''only'' has 630bhp.
Some 800bhp evos/scobby's cant break 200, never mind 240mph and the maclaren does it with a lot less power although thats probably due to its weight and drag factor, ALONG with its gearing
I cant see you getting much more than 175mph with a long enough straight with power levels of sub 350 and brick shaped aerodynamics such as LCR.
But good luck buddy, will be interesting when you do get round to doing it
I think my next spare cash is going to be thrown at bigger stoppers and sorting the suspension out. Maybe even lightening things up a bit (Lightweight alloys/flywheel etc) as stripping weight is going to make a huge difference as the LCR is not a light car.
I need new rods too to allow me turn the nitrous up a lot further
Yes a clutch will probably be next on your list Scotty as the inevitable clutch slip WILL happen
