But I think you guys are missing the point... the boost the turbo produces exceeds the 1.55bar your MAP sensor can read.

The Apexi one could limit the boost - since the current setup will just think it's doing 1.55bar - when it could be doing anything. the jabba boost controller just turns the boost requested down from 1.55

Can a 3 bar map sensor be fitted mark? Mapping dependant of course?

If not them im sure jabba can map the turbo as to not exceed the 1.55bar limit. Perhaps hold 1.5 bar for a much longer period instead of it usually falling off to around the usual 1.3 bar hold

I just want the damn thing fitted and mapped now. Im an impatient sod lol:D

Around 270whp will do me fine:) Not expecting a lot more from it and will be dissapointed if it doesnt break 265whp!

Only time will tell:)

I'll ask Mike tomorrow if it is possible to map past 1.55bar but i think Bill said before not to stretch too far with boost levels, as its not neccessarly power/torque that bends rods!

But isnt he running a k03s hybrid?

And some BIG news from jabbasport. They wont map it! So its either a custom one off map or stick with revo

Ah so he has changed it, as last time i asked i was told he was running a k03 housed k04 (it was in the one of many manifold posts!)

Should have seen that coming seeing as they wouldnt map another SCN'rs elses turbo. Only the first time ive ask and all i said was can they quote for fitting and mapping of a reconed k04 turbo!

Strange Mike has now turned around and said no as he did said he would definitely map it a couple of days ago!

I got the impression though that they weren't keen to fit it hence why no phone call back about labour.

Oh well, JBS did say they would fit it for us! As for CC mapping we'll have to enquire!

No big loss, peterborough is a fair whack away from me and getting fed up with jabba customer relations also! If thats the way they run business, then good luck to them:)

MRC might map it plus IIRC they do on the road mapping.

Heard good things about them, Caney likes them. I mentioned them a few pages back, they've actually maped this turbo before as well  (I'm not sure that it was on a 1.8T though :D )

Yeah a couple of beezers but no other LCR's to see what it shoudl be set to etc

 How are you going to find out what it should be set to anyway? There's only one of these turbos fitted to an LCR, although there are others fitted to the same engine. My point is that the wiring will most likely be the same/very similar as the Ibiza/any other Leon and the boost settings you'll figure out based on what you want to run. Or is that a step too far?

Ah so he has changed it, as last time i asked i was told he was running a k03 housed k04 (it was in the one of many manifold posts!)

Robdon's had the GT2X since the end of April, IIRC, and the AVC-R I think at the same time.

I would've thought whatever he runs would be the same, if not a good starting point. I seem to remember from his posts that some kind of boost control was essential, even on "just" a GT2X. Can't remember what power he's making though

Edit: Just done a search (I can highly recommend it), looks like Robbie is running about 280bhp

Correct folks! Never had any problems with the Apexi AVC-R boost controller since fitting in April, the N75 is disconnected and does nothing, the Apexi controls the boost and does a very good job. Don't ask me how it's wired up or set up though, Jim @ Star did all that, seems fairly complex though.

Star fit the Apexi to all their larger turbo upgrades as part of the package, on the GTRS it holds 1.4 BAR all the way to the redline using the Apexi, 330bhp.

Feel you have lost me, were you reapeating my question or did i not get across what i was trying to find out?

MRC to me is a body kit company (big in ford circles), i take it you mean someone else? Any info or full name etc so i can search?

How easy is the unit to use and adjust rob?
