Yeah, I think that's a typo - DDX has a GTRS on a LHD car? If he means RHD, they do fit but it seems a bit compromised, not as "bolt on" as first thought - with the supplied TIP there's not much room for an enclosed filter and it looks like there's some mods to the gear linkages.

Can't think how it would be any different LHD to RHD though

Saying that though, it's been sorted at least once so it still seems like a good option, compared to what else is out there. Perhaps a discussion for a different thread.

On the face of things he would seem to be making good power I guess from the 274g/s he quoted in a different thread. I realise it only hints at power not drivability and delivery :blahblah: but still sounds good for the money they were talking

There's a Scottish S3 with one on, done by Star - 330bhp, but that's "kept back" because he's not done any internals yet. He is looking for 360bhp "next year".

Right looks like I may be sticking with my revo code unless jabba come back with a great fitting and remap deal.

Has anyone looked into what options there are on the manual boost controllers? I know jabba have a dial you turn up and down, is it that simple? I take it they just vary the waste gate actuator? Be nice to have a apex digital control unit in there but im not sure if that’s over complicating the system?

Sorry by that i menat the way its controlled, i know the workinsg are far more complex but in operation i was suggesting. In other words its allot simpler to tweak the boost uning that if your driving than having to go into sub menues etc with an electronic version

Heard from Jacob last night.

He was pressure testing the housings to make sure everything was as it should and he was just about to build them all up. They have had the coatings and have been polished/ported.

Should be ready end of this week for shipping:)

yea it is... and if done in conjunction with jabba's map its a ncie feature.
something liek profec b or apexi is mroe complex but not reliant on software to match so if your going jabba, their controller is a great addition BUT it works with their software (and not other peoples)

Im kind of being swayed to stay with revo for the time being so i will look at the apex unit, but because its mainly used on jap cars theres not many Vag users around to give there opinion (i know you have one bill but id class your car as a track car)

Bill if i were to try CC rather than another jabbasport remap, what would happen with the CC mapping if i tried to use jabbas B.C?

It would still control the wastegate actuator would it not, allowing me to set boost from turbo?

Would it throw a wobbly though with fuelling/timing paramaters?

Ashame really as CC do not offer switchable on the move maps

Doesn't the Jabba boost controller "just" use the N75 valve? i.e., they don't use any additional hardware/plumbing? I can't see how that would help (although I'm not expert).

Don't you need some additional boost control to reduce the boost onset/boost taper, which is usually some other hardware/plumbing that bypasses or works in parallel with the standard N75?

AVC R sounds good. Don't Greddy do something? Something like the Turbo XS or a the two stage Dawes Device (used a lot on the Vortex IIRC).

Yeah theres a few around but the apex is the only one ive seen and played with. It replaces the n75 with a solenoid. There was a good review on all the different ways of controlling the waste gate. I know how the unit works but im not sure how it would work with the vag electronics etc, mind you my main worry is what to set it too as I don’t really have anything to compare it too

If its like mine, it CC wont work with Jabba's controller as there is some jiggery pokery on map sensor signal to ecu... works with how mike maps it, but not on pure ecu mapping as CC do it.
Shame as I liked mikes controller a lot.

Jabba's uses your stock N75 valve yes.. it also in in line with MAP sensor, as during its control it has to tell the ecu information to stop it from going into limp mode from deviations.

Cheers as thats who its between as if its going to cost me nearly £300 for the apex id rather have a new map!

How much extra was the controller?
