the mileage between 8k and 10k doesn't make any difference really - when i had my first car - i was workin near to home and had bf near to home so thought 8k would be ablut right - then he told me he didn't like my car so i dumped him started seeing someone miles away and found i would run out of mileage...so i rang up my insurance company and they just made me pay an admin fee of about a tenner to change my documents.

And tesco are pretty good - they wouldn't insure me in my first year of driving - and the second year i got insured it went down by 800 quid. 25 should make a difference - i put in a sample quote with my insurers - changing my date of birth and how long i'd been driving and it brought it down by a coupla hundred

i wonder how can a 19 year old have 3 years ncb...on a car that norwich uion dont insure drivers under the age of 21 on (except in rare circumstances)

especially when im 21 and have 3 'real' years ncb and am paying £880 with them

Well at first they gave me a quote on my mk2 by mistake. I bought the car and they said they wouldnt insure me. so I kicked up a stink and theyve insure me on grp 14+ cars ever since! yeh it is in my own name too!

Im 19 and have just got a quote as my insurance needs re-newing, its £1286 with 1 years ncb from Elephant. Not bad I dont think.

And I also pay for every bit of the car and have no financial help what so ever off my parents.

Norwich Union are good, they give 1 yrs NCB for completing Pass plus test and then being on a rapid bonus scheme they give me 1 yrs NCB in 9 months... will have 4 years in June! yay!

I couldnt get any cheaper than Norwich Union but you have to pester them to go to the underwriters if your under 21! worth it tho! fred.
