Finally some sense, i totally agree with minxy.......you guys are crazy to pay that much, yer ok I do love my ibiza but at 24 you can get away with paying £510 for 12 months fully comp, with brakes, remap, suspension and induction kit all declared..... £1500+ is lunacy on a car worth £4.5k (and i'd put money only a handful of you lot have declared your mods, technincally invalidating your £2k insurance anyway)

Yeah i agree i certainly wouldnt pay more than £2000

Even the most expensive quote I got for my ST was only £1300 and I told them it's worth 19.5k, so god knows how you can pay 2.8k for something that's worth less than half that.

even my first insurance was just over 1100...if it had been more i wouldn't have bought the car...when i was lookin for my next choice of car my sixth formers kept telling me to get a type r...(which i must admit i do like)...but said insurance was just that little bit too much....so they did quotes...on a 53 plate type r for themselves...(being 17 etc) the boys were quoted 13k a year  and then i told them just as a matter of interest to amend their quote to say miss instead of mr - and it came down to jsut under 6 - this was just a random quote - not necessarily the cheapest - so their next internet search was how much it would cost for a sex change (i think if had been under the difference they may have just gone for it

Some of your quotes are cheap as! Mines £1000 at the moment.
Did a quote in advance for a few months time and it comes down to £700! woohoo
£1800 I was paying just turning 20!

I'll be 25 when my quote is up for renewal :( which means it gets cheaper.....:)

Some people may have cheaper quotes than each other - but remember people who are inexperienced or are under the age of i think it's 25 will pay higher excesses...they wanted a 600 quid excess on my car - so i paid more monthly to bring my excess down - these people who have lower premiums - may end up paying more if anything happens to their car ;)
