Hmmm, think I'll need to ask Mic if he's still on for doing it with me as he's done one before! Hopefully it will actually come this week, should be on the car by now haha

Loving the lowness, enjoyed driving it to work this morning :)

Lol, I've fitted and refitted my TIP so many times I can almost do it with my eyes closed! I can do it without scraping my knuckles now, and all from the top of the car too, none of this ramps/jack business ;)

 me too...

i also did it without jacking the car up.

whats the ride like in comparission to the standard suspension scott in the way of comfort and crashyness??
i keep looking at my car thinking it sits to high but handles well for standard suspension seeing these low black cupras in your thread is pursuading me to get coilovers even though i told myself id never change the suspension on my car as it handles well just the crashy ride i dont like to much.

More comfy than standard, no crashyness at all, makes the car feel allot more solid and directed. Like I said before if I could only do 1 mod it would be coilies! You still all standard handlingwise and with 255hp? Mad man!

Havnt had a txt off my boss so not sure if the tip has showed up :(

i just have a rear anti roll bar with stage two map but it surprises me how well the car handles with that power, ocasionally mid bend i feel the need to not have the roll but i think standard cupra suspension handles the power very well its just the roll a brashyness that lets it down.
i think you and many others have talked me into coilovers :funk:

You won't regret it mate honestly! I thought the standard handling wasn't too bad tbh (even with a snapped spring) but new top mounts and coilovers on and it's a new car again! Loving it at the moment and it's back to the old getting loads of looks whilst driving haha I missed that for a couple of weeks!

Small update. Couple of bits arrived today, got my 1 meter of vacuum hose and a small sheet of dark smoke lamin-x. As soon as I got in I fitted the vacuum hose between the apr recirc valve and the t piece coming off the manifold as the standard hose was over stretched from the n249 bypass.

Also got to work on the fogs lights. So so easy to take out on the cupras. Even fitted them again in the dark! Anyway, couple of pictures of what I did:

One lens tinted, one standard

Both tinted:

Took me 15-20 minutes and about 5 mins taking them out and another 5 sticking them back in.

Noticed I had a sidelight bulb out aswell so when I fit the new h7r bulbs I will try fit led sidelights and my silvertech indicator bulbs. Just don't have a clue how I'm going to get down the passenger side though!

Can't wait to see pics of those fogs on the car Scott. Car should look mean!

Have you had Silvatec indicator bulbs before? I want some silver ones but obviously need to keep the indicators illuminating fairly orange, just wondering if they're actually orange enough?

I'm gonna do the headlights too at a later date but not quite as dark, then it should scare some people on the backroads haha

Yeh had them before mate and they shine no less orange than standard ones. They just have a mirror tint on them like them sunglasses you can get. Just can't get my hand down the passengers side :( gonna have to get my mate on the job haha

Take the battery cover of and you will be able to squeeze your arm down the side of the battery (between battery box and wing) to get to the bulb holder. Its a bit of a faff but once you have done it once its dead easy after that!

Cheers for the heads up Mike, is it easy to remove and all that? I'll have a look when I get in tonight. Fingers crossed I'll finish at a reasonable hour today and have abit of time

Tonight I cracked on fitting the new hid bulbs whilst my mate fitted the silvertech indicator bulbs and led sidelights. Overall the lights look miles better now and seem abit fresher to look at.

Excuse the fact the picture is upside-down, god knows why! Not sure when that's going on as I don't fancy tackling it myself having never done one before and my mate that has done one before has got too much on.

Also this time next week should have private plate back on, can't wait! The plates that are on are just abit tatty and what not. Gonna get some nice new plain ones and stick them on rather than drilling and bolting them. Hopefully exhaust will show up in the next week too!

You should give it a go mate, it's quite straightforward! All the connections on the top are just jubilee clips. The turbo connection has one bolt holding it to the turbo on the standard tip, then it just pulls off. You'll need a jubilee clip to fit the Forge one.

Just take the airbox/cone filter out for easy access :) Pretty much all the attachments are different sizes so you can't really get it wrong putting them in the Forge TIP. The only two that are the same are the 2 small ones, and they're on opposite sides so you shouldnt have a problem really :D
