Cheers Al. Yeh I have, well I think so, just waiting for him to sell his car then I think it will be gone. He drove 3.5 hours each way to view it so shows it'l be going to someone who cares and that he's really interested, which was a must for me. Hes already on here so when it goes it should be sticking around

Just need to see the money haha and it was up a few months ago for 6800, no offers, but then I withdrew the add as I got another job. Then had second thoughts when this lad asked me if it was still for sale, thought it was maybe time to let it go and focus on work/uni for abit and get something sensible. Getting 6800 for it stands me at loosing about 4k, allot of blood sweat and tears too lol it's been fun though and the car is awesome, loved the drive out last Sunday in it!

Yeh the mpg isn't good if you drive them properly, went through 30 quid last Sunday and only did about 120 miles :| the mk3 I've got would do over double that haha

£6800 thats a thousand pound more than mine,im quite surprised your getting that much for it to be honest although the i guess the comps are included in that price and the diff does it favours.

Well the diff was 1270 alone, then lightened flywheel and sachs clutch ontop, wheels and tyres are over 1100 then the 410 quid seat, then the other 3k of mods haha had cambelt/waterpump done, all new discs and pads, braided lines, needs nothing, think it's a bargain for 6800, like i said that stands me at loosing 4k.... Got a good price for my fr too, when people view the cars they see what I've put into them which must make them worth the money I ask

Both cars booked in for mot on the 17th, hopefully no problems or could get expensive. Not expecting any from the cupra at all as most the bits are new. Bit nervous about the mk3 though lol

I've always seen this and its white predecessor around Northallerton, thought they looked immaculate, but never realised the extent of the mods - worth every penny of what you're asking, good luck with the sale.

I'll most likly be in a silver mk3 tdi, so keep a look out for that haha cupra is mainly off the road for winter. I could do with living in newcastle as i work in durham, bit of a trek Ill look out for you as i live just off boroghbridge road too (farndale avenue)

Picked up turbo and manifold last night, also got my oil and coolant lines complete with all oem brackets etc just need the lad to send the injectors up next week or week after, buy 3inch maf and 80mm tip off Bill, all the gaskets etc

The collector on the manifold looks like it could be free'd up abit, so I'll give that to my boss to do in the next couple of weeks, can't hurt I suppose! Just gotta do some more saving now to get the rest of the bits and get it fitted!

Also anyone got an old lcr/s3 downpipe laying around? I need the ko4 flange off it to have the downpipe made up, if anyone could be so kind

Looks more probable it's staying now mate, the other lad that was meant to be buying it looks like he's gonna back out to buy a corsa vxr :| he's giving me back the money I paid to put my plate on retention though so I'm alright about it! Just means I'll have to smash all these goodies on it

Exactly, not even competitive against the Cupra but each to their own I guess? I think they are pretty **** except the front seats.....

How's the mk2 fairing?

Had both the cars in for mot today, Cupra passed with no advisories as expected the mk3 passed but copper brake pipes have started to corrode, not gone yet though! Need to get my wire brush out and some underseal on them!

Mk2 is ok mate its pretty much finished now just needs mot'd but it will fail on the headlights as they are always on as soon as the battery is connected so going to get my pals dad to have a look at them. Been out driving it round the block a few times its an absolute weapon the noise that comes off the vr is amazing just wheel spins everywhere getting alot of dirty looks haha.

Ill try get a wee video of it up.
