I AM AN ELECTRICAL WIZARD.

It looks really nice and it's even got needle sweep when you turn the ignition on.

Still need to test it, but with the lower dash not back together, I haven't got any lights at the moment.

Annoyed that I managed to lose one of the windscreen wiper caps in the engine bay though. It might fall out, but I'm not taking off the undertray to get to that.

WOW! I never realised that to measure turbo boost you connect your boost gauge to the air vent?

Front brakes have started to judder a bit on hard application. So i've bought a pair of used TT calipers and carriers, and new discs and pads. Hope to get them fitted over the holidays, together with thermostat, water temp sensor, fuel temp sensor, air and oil filter and oil, gearbox oil and front wings...

I'd say one of the best handling mods you can do, enjoy it. mind the snappy rear end lol. Stiffer car in the wet gets a bit naughty

Took it out while it was still light and had a bit of fun. Much more confidence inspiring in the corners - the tyres just don't want to let go now. It'll be fun trying to find the limit.

Before I forget, this is the gauge I bought, but it's not the seller I bought it from. Bit more expensive...

Is that not how they work?

Front wings? Bit random. Are the ones on there a different shade to the rest of the car (like mine)?

Did you have get the tracking realigned?

I haven't yet, but when I put the new shocks in I should have had that done, so it's something for the new year. I don't see that it would change the tracking necessarily, given it stiffens the rear end rather than change the alignment, but I'll ask them when I get it done.

No need for the tracking as it’s on the rear

Just ordered front pads discs for my car to stop the fut fut.
Looks like my car is getting the most expensive Christmas present this year!😳
Looks like that was a big waste of money (sort of).
Fitted the bew discs and the noise disappeared for about 10 miles then came straight back again!
There was a slight brake judder that has gone now but the noise is just the same.
It leaves either wheel bearing or drive shaft end now. And it doesn't sound like a drive shaft noise to me.
Im gutted.

Refreshing the cooling system (hoses, thermostat, and temp sensor). Notice lack of alternator, boost pipe etc etc

I'd love to do a proper rebuild - engine out and clean absolutely everything up - not to mention being able to get to all those bolts that are behind the engine that are probably easy when the engine is out but a nightmare when it's not. That's the problem with half my jobs - get a garage to do it and you pay more in labour than you do for the parts.

I'll be doing a bit of that in the new year - replacing all the vacuum hoses and maybe a few other things - before the MoT at the start of February.

It's such an amazing engine. I know it's a diesel and all, but in spite of all my complaints, it's absolutely bloody bulletproof.

Ok, the fut fut.
Ive caught it. Ive just got back from a run after fitting new discs yesterday hoping a bed in session will sort it and it hasn't. When i got back it was making the noise and ive managed to catch the noise as clear as a whistle. But the 14 second clip is to large to upload on here. I need you all to listen to it to help me figure it out. Can send it via email? HELP!!!!

Yeah, some of the stuff is so tightly packed it's unreal. Just been playing with the EGR (it's getting a clean). I know my hands aren't the smallest but holy crap, that's a tight space!

You can reduce resolution right down which should help get file size down as it won't affect sound
