Today i have cup holders rolling around my mind (again).
The one i have isnt working so at some point I'll be addressing that but im thinking whilst im there i could fit another.
And just losing the heated rear screen switch behind the dash.
But in the winter when you need the heated rear screen, you need it.
1st world problems eh?

I'm still battling over this one myself, I've had the LHD cupholder for at least 2 years but until I find a true solution to the heated rear screen switch I can't be arsed to touch it.
One option I'm toying with is to modify a VW Tiguan mirror switch which incorporates the rear screen function...looks tricky though due to the shape differing to the Leon one.

Yep, finding a replacement switch is the part of it i can't be bothered with.
Im happy to have a frosted rear screen in the winter, its the condensation on the inside that winds me up.

Thing is, when my missus and i are out and about we like a Costa so 2 holders would be a godsend.

I know the feeling mate, the mk1 Leon is crap when it comes to carrying liquids...well unless it's the floor pan then they come into their own haha.
Another suggestion for a semi temp fix is to run the heated rear screen switch to the glovebox.
At least its out if sight and still usable.
As for the airbag light that can just be tucked behind the dash as it pointless anyway.

Thats an option i guess but got the 6 disc changer in there that i want to keep.

I know that heated rear screens are a heavy load on the electrical system.
Does that heavy load run through the switch or is that all taken on the shoulders of the relay and fuse box?
I can do the actual job of wiring but my electrical knowledge is minimal.

What now for the car?
My biggest fear with these cars to be honest.
Well, I wanted the garage to fit SKF belt and pumps. They said they only fit Gates belts and pumps, but they guarantee the work for 12 months, so it's just in warranty. I'm not sure if the issue was with the hardware or the way it was installed / tensioned. I used a local garage to do the work and I'm beggining to think that for some jobs a main dealer is the best bet.

Race mods innit - more air in and weight saving all for free. Win win!
