When it creaks, if I push up on where the two torx screws go in on the left side of the lower dash, it doesn't creak anymore. I can't screw them in any tighter so I'm hoping a rubber washer will sort it.

I know it's not a Rolls or anything, but rattles and knocks really do my head in...

One of these days I'm just going to get a load of expanding foam, pump it through every gap or hole, and be done with it.

Whenever I'm messing around with plastic trims & rebuilding dashboards, I douse all the joints & clips with spray on furniture polish.
Silence! Except the missus wondering where the polish went.
Rattles though are a pain.

Try small squares of foam pushed over the clips / screws before they are pushed in.
Makes it all tight fitting again.

Wired up some new speakers - the door adapters didn’t fit so had to remove them (too high). Also did some tidying up of old wiring whilst I

Well, it’s been a sad day.
After 4 years of ownership with my Beloved Cupra R, today is the day that I have no choice but unfortunately it’s going to be going up for sale.
We are undertaking a large extension at home and need to free up some funds.
I’ve been hanging on as long as possible but I have no choice but to let it go.
I’ll get it advertised on here and hopefully it will find a good home.

I think I’ll do bumper off. Probably a safer bet. Can’t believe I’d just tightened the 8mm nuts on each side.

The s badge comes off as a unit. You just pull forward firmly
. Clips are strong. You won’t break them.
Easy. Takes seconds. Bumper off is a faff.

I chose bumper off. I've seen how rare and expensive those S badges are and didn't want to risk messing with 17 year old brittle plastic :)

I’ve deducted at least two of my door speakers are bust/buzzing

It’s a good day.

lancashire.
Finally got my car to a hand car wash today.
I could do it myself but logistically difficult (and a little lazy) lol.
Looks nice but will need to be done almost every week as the yard at work is megga dusty and its heart breaking to see how bad the cars get up there.
never use them myself , my issue with them is most of time they use a very acid wheel cleaner as it ruins the wheels one reason i had my sd fr wheels redone and the last 2 clio16v i had the same was happening to them wheels but never redid them, even seen people with cars lacquer raising due to same thing.

I agree but doing it at home just sets my dog off (barking). If im outside and he isnt he kicks off.
Sounds like a poor excuse but it truly isnt.
Got a nosy neighbour who moans if the tv is on to loud 🤨
Easier to get it done by someone else.

Sayin that, going to give it a polish at some point with decent products.
It deserves that at least.
