Yeah I'm keeping it! I love it too much haha. Plus it makes sense because its cheap insurance. Going to have to get on and get my drivers door resprayed though.

Yeah your door is shocking mate. You shouldn't need to pay it.
My good news of the week was my crap dealer has since been taken over by Bristol Street Motors.
Lets hope they've got rid of the unhelpful staff and are going to turn my opinion around.
Probably not as I don't think I'll be going in. Only have 6 months warranty left on paper.
Any Seat that goes to Dobies Carlisle obviously doesn't get a warranty as you've to pay for them to investigate or repair any problems.

Hopefully it will be all good when it's done though!

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but my car was originally from Bristol street, who lied about the previous owner, and then the damage to the door was done by another Bristol street dealer. They might be okay though :) is Carlisle where you're based?

Im afraid i have to 2nd Jarre remarks on bristol street. I had no end of issues. Car badly prepared, smart repair on alloys was crap. In hindsight cars maybe cheap but they try and flog add ons! Mixed thoughts but a recent warranty claim was hassle free

Thanks for the feedback, doubt I'll be going near.
Any repair under £100 I'll do myself I think as I don't need the hassle of paintwork and damage from Mr nobody at the dealer.

It's a shame that it ends up like this with the dealers. But yeah, if I can fix it I will from now on. Going to get my door done, no doubt it will need blending with the rear door and front wing too...
Still deciding on whether to get my alloy wheels refurbished in anthracite or not!

Also forgot to say I was on the M62 friday and went past warrington turn off, fuel light came on so I decided to pull off at warrington central to fill up.. X5 police car came up behind me when I was in 3rd lane on M62. So I moved over to the 1st and pulled off, he followed... Anyway, got onto the dual carriageway into Warrington and was pulled. Got out the car and had the usual questions (where have you come from/to, your car?, driving license, insurance) and was then told to sit in his car. Turns out a mk2 Leon had just evaded the police on the M62 and my vehicle (black leon) matched his description.
While he was running his checks on me I looked out the side of the car and saw a man walk past the police car and upto my drivers door, he then looked through the window and tried to get into it! Policeman got out and had a word, turns out he had come to collect a vehicle (sounds dodgy) and he had parked behind the police car with its flashing lights on, got out the car, walked straight past the police car and then tried to take my car which had been pulled over by the police? At this point I was really confused!!!
Anyway all checks were fine as I knew they would be and I was free to go. I asked him how he found driving the X5 all day and surprise surprise - he didn't like it. Like the other officer didn't like his 5 series estate when I was pulled over a year ago. WHY ARE THE POLICE SUPPLIED WITH BMW'S?!?!?!?!?! THEY DON'T EVEN LIKE THEM. I also asked if he was more attracted to modified cars and he said 'no, its not what the car looks like but how it is being driven. I only pulled you over as my ANPR flagged your vehicle as potentially being the one that was just involved in the pursuit.'

After all that anyway I went off and filled my car up, I have to say the policeman I dealt with was very nice and even waved to me as he went past me :D To anyone who actually read all that - sorry I wasted 5 minutes of your life!
