Managed to get a video of the sound now I had the decat fitted.
Damn it is loud, too loud for my liking really but my god it sounds mean. The DSG pops and bangs are unreal, its like a gun shot on gear changes.

You can hear it on the vid a little but it sounds much better in real life. I was also changing quite early at 5k, at higher revs the dsg pops even louder. I could'nt stretch the legs as there were speed humps every 50m so I could only get it up to second gear :p

You can also see the 6000k HIDs too, they are superb.

Found it

Step 1: Connect up to VCDS/VAGCOM in the usual manner, then select Instruments under the Select Control Module menu.

Step 2: Select the Coding sub-menu

Step 3: Select Long Coding Helper

Step 4: Select Byte 0 Bit 4.7 drop-down menu then select 10 Country: Rest of World (RoW)

Step 5: Exit Long coding helper then hit "Do it"

That's all you have to do on VCDS/VAGCOM but now you will have to change your MFD Settings, Units menu to the correct UK format from US format (imperial to metric).

Step 6: Un-tick the Alt.speed dis to activate the "Alternative Speed Display"

Step 7: Final stage - Change your units for Consumption to MPG and Temp to ˚C.

The above now set  thx Andrew for setting and I would agree with Nath, this should be a factory standard set

unfortunately if it was set by factory it would be illegal due to not having KPH on clocks

im guessing this option is for Spain etc who have KPH Clocks

nope this isnt true as Civic's have a switch for it to go between the 2

That's the point though, they can still see KPH if they want. With the Leon's system, if you want MPH on the MFD, you have to change to RoW and then you can't see KPH anymore. If they could have been bothered, they could have put a switch on the Leon.

after you have set it up you only have to tick alternative display to get it back so i consider that the same as the switch :)

The switch is there to make it legal, you can switch it back to KP/H at any moment

We cant now we need to physically log into VCDS

Don't need to have VCDS mate just tick alternate display and its back to normal :)

I think the legallity is though that you must have KPH displayed at all times, if SEAT gave you the option to set it to MPH it wouldnt of been allowed.

Not sure but who cares we have all got it now
