Paying him £50 for all 4, so imo thats a good days work. He has axle stands and other stuff which makes his job easier though. Plus he is taking the callipers off (but not from the break line) so he can get around and clean them easily.

But yeah, it is a lot of work... they need a proper clean before you can even start to paint them D:

That isn't bad at all. I'll have to do some serious cleaning with mine. I'll Iron-X them and then APC them :)

I really wanted to get the front end of mine wrapped this week, but got an outrageous quote so laughed it off.
I'm happy to have a go at wrapping it myself, but I need a guide really :(

Me and my Leon had to do a 240 mile round trip for work :(

Only to get there and find out they'd unplugged the equipment, even though they said there was nothing wrong repeatedly to back office.

ABSOLUTE RAGE.

Not an ideal day at work, I shouldn't imagine!

 love it! They look brilliant. Can't wait to do mine on Saturday, just got some axle stands!

Also - Is there a 'spotted' thread anywhere for if you've seen another Leon that may be on here?:shrug:

Can I just ask where you have placed those Axle stands? It looks like they're on/near the sill, and I got laughed at for suggesting I could put them there :D

I thought this but forgot to mention it. hopefully it caused no damage, but they should go on the axles really.

Isn't that the jacking point?

If so, I can't imagine it'd cause any damage. Maybe the axles would be better for stability, but I can't see any reason not to use the jacking point.

Today we took a run down to the south coast for a nice ride along the front, stop for some good food, ride back then ice cream whilst building sand castles.

Is the jacking point the bent bit of the sill, or is those circular looking things with the bar towards the side of the car (this post is probably useless without pictures).

Done mine today, pics to follow!

I left the calipers on & used a wire drill bit from Wilko's to get rid of the dust & crap, then went with gloss black paint.

RE: Axle Stands - I put the front axle stand under the bush housing, and the rear one just in front of the back wheel, where there are 2 bolts and a little lump. Both spots were brill. :)

Car has finally been lowered! It rides so much better and this is how it should have been from the factory

Drove around for about 4 - 5 hours to a far away city just to get the dang bulb retainer spring clips. Can't SEAT make our lives easier and just sell them as spare parts? I don't see the logic behind buying a whole new headlight unit just for the sake of a $2 clip.

@Pedestrian, very nice rims, by the way. :) 17s runflat huh?
