What did you and your MK2 do today?

Yeah dead easy to fit! I surprised myself. I managed to install them without having to drill a hole, just got them through the side of the cover. Also rested the ballasts somewhere secure so they won't fall out either!

Output is really good, love then! So so much brighter!
They're the terminator kit from HIDs direct, no errors.

I bought a twin tip exaust but its too small, looks silly, and left it too late to return it too i want twins mum and dad say the one i've got on looks good enough. If you can suggest one to me i'd be grateful

I like the tip. Id have an oval but struggling to find one looks bigger and better than a twin with slip on tips. I need to find an LCR tip -double tip to oval exit

They shouldn't dazzle people! They seem to be following the bulb pattern of my standard ones, just a much clearer and more intense light, but not dispersed anymore than standard.

As for the exhaust tip i only bought it as a temporary but it seems to have been on for a long time haha! Only paid £10 from halfords in their clearence section

Do you have H7 or H7r ones ?
Where you have clamped the wires on the cover, is it a tight seal so the headlights wont fog up? I don't really want to drill the cover either you see

I've got h7 ones. I thought the h7R were for older vehicles with the pattern on the headlight lens. Like where they aren't perfectly clear.

Literally just put the wires through the side of the cover, they're just squished in, its still a tight seal, if not tighter than what you currently have. The clips are quite tight to get on

I know what you mean. The thing that annoys me most on roads are cars with HIDs that aren't properly aligned and dazzle other drivers. So i do want to make sure they are set properly!

Fitted my Lockwood Door sills and can say that I am well impressed with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone. Will put pics up into the Lockwood sills thread later on

I always dip mine 1 notch on my Leon. My Clio was down 2 notches.
I only put them up to zero when I'm on a road with no street lighting.

Like you say, I see cars with them when they're not adjusted and it's just blinding!

Took my car for a steam on the tops last night, I'm still so impressed with the way it puts power down through the gears, and that's without a remap! I also managed to still pull 50mpg (according to the MFD, which is about 5mpg too high, I THINK!), but still, that's unreal! :droool:
I passed another Leon (white '57 with K1/BTCC kit on). It had the DRL mod done in the vents, so I'm guessing whoever it was is on here! it..looked..awesome!

Got my insurance renewed for £1315 with mods declared but is only this high due to a stupid minor accident which I ddnt even claim on

Found a clicking sound when I turned the wheel slightly to the right. Took the wheel off, searched for any stones/nails etc - there was nothing. Put the wheel back on, all seems to be fine. Really odd...

No, they're not.

If you read their policy documents, you need to have mods declared, and pay extra for them, but in the event of an accident, they will only replace them with standard parts.

Same here, mine are just H7 ones and seem fine. I have also put wires to the side of the cover rather than drilling it.

I have that problem, no damage to any cars but the other idiot reported it to his insurance company and now my insurance is like +£300 from what it should be ¬_¬
