ABF 16v, the one with cable change 02A box
use its factory clutch mechanism parts too.... find a donor 16v ABF dead ibiza and rob it to to the cordy project. Easiest way then.

20vt shafts same as 16v ABF shafts, complete, inner and outer.

T H A N K Y O U

u say ur from Bulgaria? which area would that be?

have u done any europppean driving which could give me any idea as to how long it would take me to drive from the uk to bulgaria? (sveti vlas)

flights are beginning to get cheaper now but still not that cheap nor as regular as id like so taking the car might be quite fun. Would u know how long from the nurburgring?

so to hiijack ur turbo thread, very interesting read it was wish u all the best with it

Yes I am from Bulgaria [B)]

I have done European driving - well not from England or Nurburgring (eventhough I got my MBA in Birmingham) - I reckon you can do it in two days but that would be tiresome. . . or in about 20 hours driving to Sofia and then 4-5 to Sveti Vlas- all the way to the BG and Serbian Border it is motorway - then you'll have about 100miles of dual carriageway - another 120 miles motorway and 120 miles dual carriageway

If you decide to come over by car - give me a call I will help you as much as I can .... come and visit Sofia ( capital of Bulgaria) - lot's of bars, nightclubs, museums - whatever you like... I can help you with arrangement of hotel ( if you want to stay over in Sofia that is)

I can take you to the local dragraces too- 650 WHP Evo VII, there is a Skyline with a Dubai(an???) reg plate and uknown power and lots of other cars
and if it is after April - my project would be ready too

WOW that is great that you have an apartment there _ GOOD INVESTMENT

Basically you don't have a problem in Serbia - as long as you keep to their speed limit - 120km/h and maybe another 10% so about 80mph ....
;)
In Bulgaria it is the same - but you can pay yourself off

I would not suggest overspeeding too much in Serbia as if things get serious and you get caught doing 100mph and the cop does not want to take a bribe - you have to go to the nearest town in court .... and lose a day... so it is better to do 80-85 mph and if they stop you - to try and bribe yourself out.

In BG they can't do **** - you bribe them and that is it - they can't take you to court.....

As for safety - it is safe but I would do Serbia and Bulgaria during daytime - the roads are not exacltly smooth especially the dual carriageways ....
Highways are ok ....

what car are you taking - I can arrange a few turbo projects to meet you over for a few pints and would be great fun to have a RHD car around:funk:

UPDATE

Well all that was the easy part - getting the kit together .......

So far I am only:D ..... waiting for the turbo to arrive - FEDEX tracking system claims it is in Paris.... :) Pistons came from Argentina - through France.... Fuel pump is also here 255l/h Valbro unit - USA ( I pray it will fit in the original housing....) Blow off is to arrive as well - USA.

Now I am to rebuild the engine first and install the new pistons, bearings etc, the head had a rebuild 1 000 miles ago...

I have decided to listen to ibizacupra's advice and am currently looking for a 20vt gearbox - hard to find downhere - will keep it aside - save for LSD and Clutch and install it at a later stage as I do not have the funds right now... So the 020 will have to hold 0.5 bar pleeeeeaseeeee

I am yet to do manifold and exaust as well as IC piping....

I am scared shitless - i basially have to take the whole car apart and get it back toghether:):):)

and here comes the difficult bit - synchronising the four different stages of the install - rebuild of the engine, turbo install (manifold and downpipe), IC install (more pipes) , switching to G60 management - wires:headhurt: :help:

I cannot start before the turbo arrives as it is needed for measuring the manifold and its positioning...

I hope it arrives soon - within a week ....

Can you please tell me whether 1.8 20vt conrods have the same dimentions as 1.8 16v???

I have a good offer on such aftermarket H shaped ones - about 400 EUR but I am not sure they would fit ???

and as I am not really going to go into high boost levels this year neither going above 6 000 rpm - I don't need them initially
