Mine's an oil change after a year then a service after two.

Thanks QuietQuackers.
Just had a look at the SEAT site and used the configurator to spec up a 300. Pretty much with all the toys and sunroof. I'm still tempted. Not sure on the alloys though. Like the look of the 18" ones in black to go with monsoon grey paint. But I know the cupra comes with 19" as standard. Thoughts?

It's a personal choice but all I can say is the standard 19 inch alloys are superb. I have a 300 in Monsoon Grey and they match that colour perfectly.

Thanks Brandon. Be interesting to see what you do get. And how often you're visiting the petrol station :);)

Just filled the beastie with its 2nd tank of fuel. I've done 410 miles and averaged 38mpg, So, no surprises that it's not as frugal as the FR but very impressed overall considering the 300's power and the mix of roads.

Simply love this car!

38 is pretty good, what's your commute like? Maybe my right foot is too heavy.

I suppose I'm being a tad sensible and trying to keep the revs down during its first thousand miles. My daily commute is 75 a day on A roads and motorways so it's pretty good journeys.

Only a couple of hundred miles to go before I start opening it up!

Has anyone seen any improvement in fuel economy as the engine settles down or is that a myth with modern cars?

That's good to know. Just out of interest, is your car a manual or DSG (Automatic)?

Looking to get another DSG model as my FR184 is and comes in handy with traffic jams :(

We currently have both models, I love the 184 for really long distance and chilling, mpg's are awesome and the car is quck but the Cupra just goes and is much more exciting to drive. I do not care about mpg's but I average 32's, owned both for 6 month's.

As someone who has both. What do you make of the suspension setup between them? Has the CUPRA got a firmer ride compared to the 184? I'm not too impressed with my 184 suspension as it can be a bit soft. And find even with the 18" Performance alloys and Mitchelin PS4's it's okay but not great.

We had a MK2 FR 170bhp, the suspension was awesome, really well balanced on A roads. The FR 184 in my opinon is softer/more body roll. We had the horrible 17's but quickly changed them for the performance 18's which are better but still not sporty enough. The Cupra has a feel that you can throw it into corners and remember the luxury of adaptive chassic is a real bonus.

The FR is a great car which gives you great MGP's and we love it, but the Cupra put's a smile on your face.

Thought I'd reply and give an update. Unfortunately I didn't make it to my nearest SEAT dealership and instead got diverted to the Volkswagen one next door :-(

Just got back from test driving a mark 7.5 golf R with DSG and most of the toys I want. Short story is I'm joining the dark side ;-) and have put a deposit down on a nice brand new example. :)
You never know I might be back if SEAT offer a mark 4 LEON with a digital dash etc... :)

Thanks for the replies and advice. :)
