The winter tyres are simply superb though from what i have read.
Cars going passed other cars with ease when they are fitted.
Or buy some snow socks.
You are correct Lee. Can fly past anyone even in the snow covered lane of dual tracks and motorways whilst people are stumbling into each other.
What gets me though is when people on summer tyres pull out into the snow covered lanes. Realise they can't actually control the car then have to pull back in.
My entire set of winter tyres cost me £360. So £90 a corner (17's of course). You can always drop to H rated which are slighty cheaper.
When it is freezing they come alive. They are not really an extra expense either when you think about it. They are used Dec-Mar so during that time my summer tyres are not getting worn down. And they should last at least three sessions. So I am just offsetting costs against each other. Plus I have the added security of knowing I still have all that extra traction in these conditions.
These 4x4 (truck) drivers get me, thinking they own the roads. Do they really think that there 2 and a half ton vehicle is going to stop before mine?! Just because they have traction to get going doesn't mean they are going to stop.
