I got some caravan levelling ramps from Halfords which help, although for the front I still have to put a bit of wood in front of them to get the splitter up enough not to just push the ramps along when trying to drive up them. I find if I go too far up the ramps though that once the car is on axle stands the suspension isn't fully extended, so the wheels are still on the ramps.

Best bet is as Drka says, get a low-profile jack.

Popped round to T0m's to grab an LCR splitter as I seriously need one on the car but going to try something with it first. Always great to catch up with T0m, very level headed and has a superb LCR which is always in showroom condition. Loving his plans for his motor which is kind of dangerous as I start to think what mine would be like with those additional mods ;)

Managed to get a nice pic out of the journey also. Looks rather high and needs dropping no? Lol

Likewise mate, great to catch up with yourself yesterday and to help a nice guy out with a splitter!

Looking forward to seeing the plans come together on yours, and those cable ties ;) lol.

She really does sound lovely your LCR. Makes me want de-cat maybe one day. Not on my priority though really until the other big jobs are done.

Seeing your car really makes me want to splash out and get my grooved EBC discs, ds2500's, oem rear setup and some motul fluid asap.. Not much life left in my oem setup which has been on the car since I got it! Ha ha.. Shows you how much mileage I do

Had a look at my front pads and they look like they will need changing soon so have decided to look around now for some prices for a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads. Switching away from the Mintex 1144's as I have never really been that happy with them. Yes they performed well but the amount of dust and noise these produced is simply unbearable. Whenever I was in traffic lightly breaking everyone would spin around thinking there is a bus trying to come to a halt.

So far the cheapest I have found is from ASP Trading.

Ferodo DS2500 front pads. Part number: FCP1348H

£121.31 ASP Trading
£123.31 Camskill
£124.42 Cambridge Motorsport
£127.33 Demon Tweeks
£140.22 JKM Performance
£140.50 Badger 5

Went to purchase from ASP Trading and the price is different as the previous price never included delivery when I thought it had. Comes to £127.81 which is still a good price but Camskill are the best option on this occasion

As per my post in wayne's thread, keeping a close eye on prices dude.

Would be happy to get mine from Camskill too. Surprised Bill is selling at £140....

Ordered the pads from Camskill, £123.31. They have them in stock so should get them this week along with the rocker cover gasket and cv boot (outer) which I ordered from Eurocarparts. Should be able to get all this done this weekend

A good shopping haul there bud!

CV boot and rocker cover gasket bit annoying but will be good to have those done..

Great price really for the DS2500's. Will probably get everything from Camskill when the time comes.

What fluid you running? Motul? I'm thinking of the RBF660 for when I do the lot.

Didn't even know Camskill did anything other than tyres, happy with that. Also just noticed that they sell the Ultimax discs for cheaper also. EBC Ultimax Front Discs for £191.95 as opposed to £218 + £9.50 for delivery from Badger5

Yeah I have Motul RBF660 brake fluid. If you can wait mate, I'd say hold up until I get the new pads on and bedded in and then we can go for a drive to see if you like the set up

I didn't know that either, lol. Well I do now, and know where I'll be going for my discs/pads!

Yeah I don't drive the car everyday mate so I'll probably wait till I can go for a ride in your car if that's cool, see what these brakes are like :D
