Just ordered 2 cans of Hammerite smooth red spray, who can guess what's getting done next ;)

Also aiming to get some matt black high temp paint this week for more touching up in the same area......

:D

No I haven't mate.
Barely had any free time this weekend with the whole wheel change and other things on.
Fingers crossed I'll get it on in not too long. Tbh though, my bushes are ruined and I want to order the FARB then get that fitted with the RARB at the same sort of time.
It'll come together soon don't worry :D

i have one, piss easy to fit, i find it made a big difference to my car probably as i dont have a rarb yet.

Cool, good to know Sam.

When I got it off Maz I was talking to him about them and he rates them highly.

Looking forward to getting the car feeling like it's on rails over the next couple of months :D

Bought some high temp heat resistant matt black paint today from Halfrauds after work...

This will be used on the upcoming weekend or the one after :)

It's nice having mate's with nice car's, sometimes they bring them round for me to play with :D

The plan for the day was;
1) Re furb the Brembo calipers
2) Fit upper rear strutt brace
3) Fit RARB

Unfotunatly someone forgot to bring his locking wheel nut key  So whilst Tom went off to get it I made a start on the rear strutt brace

I need to get the bar sitting more central.

Next it was time to do the Brembo's

As you can see they were in a bit of a state.
untitled-5-12.jpg

Started by picking off as much loss lacquire as poss, then sprayed them with Wolf's de-ironiser to dissolve as much brake dust as poss, this was left to soak for 15 min's then jet washed off. the jet wash peeled off even more lacquire.
The surface was then keyed using 120 grit wet & dry sand paper.
Masked up as much of the car as poss and sprayed them with smooth red Hammerite

We also painted the hubs of the disk's matt black

Unfortunatly we did'nt get time to fit the RARB,
Next up, Apply Brembo stickers, freshen up the rear calipers and hubs and hopefully fit the RARB

Cheers for the write up mate

Going out last night made remembering everything like locking nuts a challenge today!! Lol..

Really happy with how the calipers look. Once the decals are on, rears done and hubs done on there aswell, it'll look mint.

Hopefully have time to get stuck into the RARB aswell.

If I do get my bonus end of this month, I'll be getting the bushes done and knock sensor fixed once and for all.

The calipers look really good what paint did you use? Most people use hammerite but i found it very thin and you have to be careful not to apply too much.

What colour decal are you going for?

It was just smooth red Hammerite, You do have to be a bit carefull puting it on, I did several thin layers untill there was an even coverage.
