Hope all is well Tom, will be worth the wait.

Car is still with me mate :(

Don't think I'll be getting the wheels done anytime soon now. I agree it'll be worth the wait, I can be impatient though and got my hopes up it would be done this week.

I know what you mean mate, I do that all the time.

If it's out your hands then you are probably thinking about somewhere else doing the work, maybe best to wait unless anywhere else is as good

I'm still getting it done at the same place. It's just the garage where I was leaving mine on axle stands I now can't use at this moment in time... But the main thing is I know where they're getting done and also what colour :D

I want your car!

Haha :D I love my car mate. Looks the dogs b*****ks now!!!!

Always welcome to offers though! I've got replacements in mind.

:)

Good news then mate light at the end of the tunnel ;)

Any sample pics of the colour?

Yeah light at the end of the tunnel bud :) Just want these things done soon as I'm worried the schedule for end of 2011 for completion will be missed. I'm eyeing up replacements seriously at the moment aswell as finishing this project so don't want it taking another year..

No sample pics sorry bud. But it's a light-medium almost anthra shade which has metallic flecks in it, and has a wet gloss look to it. Looked the nuts on an Enkei rim when placed up against my car so should turn out well I hope.

Haha, but to me it's far from me. I want a car that's better than when it left the factory new.... The hunt for perfection never ends!! Lol.

Hmm, repacements, well I might aswel spill!!

Thinking either S3 2.0 TFSi, e46 CSL, Evo or possibly a MK2 LCR. Not sure though the MK2's don't look as good as MK1's IMO but the power really does lure me. I want more!

Wheel refurb is very much on hold/cancelled for the short term. Maybe next month. I was really not happy with how the car felt yesterday and my suspicions we're correct..

..Fault code joy! (sarcasm)

The knock sensor fault hasn't been around for ages but it's back and it's brought along a mate on it's return. Brilliant..

2 Faults Found:
17733 - Knock-Control: Cylinder 1: Regulation Limit Exceeded
P1325 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16716 - Knock Sensor 2 (G66): Signal too Low
P0332 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

So these are the next things to get sorted for good on the car. Just clearing the knock sensor code a while ago was not enough. I've cleared both tonight but I know this is not the answer longer term.

Scanned my mates' LCR who is going to the ring in a week's time and his was fine so mine was bound to be difficult.

Can anyone shed some light on the Knock-Control: Cylinder 1: Regulation Limit Exceeded fault. Is this serious? Obviously this looks 99% related to my recurring Knock Sensor 2 fault. Will this fault go when the knock sensor no.2 is replaced? I hope so.........

I had the exact same codes for months before my engine went pop I couldn't get rid of them kept coming back. I replaced the knock sensors which btw aren't cheap for a little poxy sensor and still had the codes. But I would say you need to replace them to rule them out. Hope you get it sorted mate. By the way I'm not saying your engines gonna go pop because of this, mine was due to a WOT box and standard rods. [:@]

Lol I hope it doesn't go pop mate!
I will get these sensors replaced but it's worrying that yours came back despite clearing them :confused:
None of these sensors seem cheap do they mate it's so annoying! I want to spend the money elsewhere on the car.

I love these cars sometimes I really do!!!

Haha cheers mate. I'm still impressed with how the car looks now and it's not been cleaned since the detail

Busy schedule has put paid to that. Hopefully next weekend I'll get her cleaned up.

Hope the Alfa is all good and your doing well buddy.

Don't we all mate!! I'd suggest just enjoying it, hit some shows/tracks I say. That's my plan from now on

I try to but I don't barely drive it anymore :(

I sometimes think someone else would be better off with her tbh. Hate it just sitting there. It looks at me as I walk down my road after a rubbish train commute and it says 'take me out!!!!' and I don't, lol.

In my head there is still an easy 2-3k further spend on this car yet to get it where I'd want it but I keep questioning it.

well get out and drive it then;)

Just think mate, what would you get next? another performance car? if so you'll only feel the same after constantly commuting.

Mine rarely gets used through the week as I can get a lift in with the missus as she works quite close to my office. It just makes the times I do drive it that little bit more special:D

I hope you find the love again soon as your car is mint.

I want to mate I do, but the fault codes are there and I want them fixed before I rag it again anytime soon.

Knock sensors going to be £100+ just annoys me so much these cars with there stupidly expensive sensors. I've had a really hectic couple of months with my life away from the car costing me buckets! So the car has had nothing since the detail.

I want to do alot to this car I really do. I think I'm just a bit down about facing upto how much more I need to throw at it to get it where I want it. And then thinking how the car will be 7yrs old then.

I want an S3...
