Obtaining the Skoda Lifetime Navigation FeC for the Mib2 High (Europe 08300008) to enable the upload of June 2021 map release 192 to the unit and may be beyond

Notes

For DIY method using Mib Tool two main options:

  1. Update to one of the Mib2 High firmware releases where a Mib Tool patch is available for FeCs
  2. Stay on Current firmware but update FeCs as above (currently 1447, 1409, 1376, 1338, 1219)

Something new to play with ;)

If it's the latest maps you are after for your 6P (November 2021) see here:

You must follow the workaround instructions... don't just delete what is on the card.

You can safely upgrade from 0241 to 0253. You will have to go back a few pages and look for a post with a link to downloading firmware. I've done this and it's nice and easy. I'd also update your navigation as it's several years out of date! Follow post #1033 for instructions.

Hi there, my version is MST2_EU_SE_ZR_PO472T. How do I find out if there is a newer update? My infotainment drops out loads. I've just had it drop out 5 times in about a mile. Each time, I unplug and replug the USB lead and it comes back. TIA

There is a database mentioned on the thread. You inspect that. Presence of a newer release doesn't mean it's better... you need user experience for that. You keep within the train 4xx, unless a whizz with programming (that's on the thread). Sure it's not a faulty lead. Was plagued with that at one stage. Bouncing about in the front of the car isn't kind to some leads. That was a braided one. AA doesn't like leads longer than 1 metre as well. Like USB3 keep data leads short.

Thanks Tell. I've had the car since July. Got new Anker 0.5m braided lead and a new iPhone XR, so that shouldn't be the issue. I've also tried with another new lead. I guess I need to trawl through the 52 pages of this thread to maybe find answers. Taking the car i to the local stealer on Tuesday, and will ask them about the issue, which, from what I gather, isn't rare??

Post 1027... you have to identify your software and see whether there is anything more recent in that 4xx train (have to chip a bit off the link to go down the right release). You can ask your dealer although since its old probably isn't interested. I'd Google whatever you find for hits as to whether it fixed issues and also what you have. Probably is talked about on the thread. I'm leaving you to do the work else I end up doing lots of people's queries. The mib collective as I call them may step in with relative information. Loose consortium of experts 😉.

You're on 0472 and can safely go to 0479. No idea what it updates/fixes, but worth a try.
