do emmergency update with proper fw in same sw range.....MU version 0245 you do emmergency with MU0253 and so on.
for this you need uart and connect pin to the right pins (soldering inside to the pcb . tx rx gnd to mib2 frame...=gnd)

when powering up bridge the 2 contact holes , when you see option list , remove bridge and press 2.

you used swdownload not from 02xx 03xx 04xx Version you had originally on technisat....

from 02xx to 0516 , when using swdownload from 03xx (xx= any version) then this happened....

tutorial is on mibsolution i think. if not then in my brain...
press 2 on the computer?

What does MU version mean? I'm on 0245 and had seen the update MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0252T_5F0919360A, then I saw MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0253T_MU0253. Is the MU an untouched update from SEAT or is it one that's been patched, etc?
original untouched fw sdupdate.
usb uart ttl > tx rx viceversa to the pins on quadlock.... gnd and putty com port from usb uart 115200.press 2 on pc....

Hi all, i'm wondering if anyone else is having an issue i am troubled with recently, at times when i have the phone plugged in and running android auto the headunit randomly disconnects and wont allow connection again till sometime later, i tried turning the radio off & on, also tried restarting the phone but still nothing.
i have to wait till later once the car has been switched off then would start to work again.

any help would be gratefully appreciated

My MIB2 system has a problem when connecting my phone directly when starting up. I have to wait till the system has started-up and then I can connect my phone.

If I don't wait till it's fully booted it will keep on getting stuck and rebooting everytime.

Think it's like the post above. Which firmware version is the mib2 on. Assume standard. If you read back posts there were issues with the firmware prior to 515. People were advised to update.

Broken cable issues can cause Android Auto to drop out. I've had that one. More of an answer to the post one above. Cable no longer than 1 metre and of quality. Other issues may be down to problematic older firmware.

My hardware version is H41 and software 0472. Can I update mine to version 0515? Or do I have to stay on version 04##?

I think you are on the train patch, read on from here

How are your Python skills 😉.

Oliver put it together see here

It's the "secret" that retrofitters use. If you dont mess your system up. See on. East Yorkshire Retrofit offers a return service or DIY if you follow the notes here and feel capable. If it goes wrong it's on a bench and shorting pins out with the retrofitters USB/Ethernet box and tools, explained lower 🤣. Really a hobbyist activity if you dont have options and / or enjoy programming and DIY. On the bench work is something you really wouldn't want to do if you came to it cold.

Least that's my understanding that you can't jump trains, not an end point version where you jump carriages so as to speak without patching (I will be told if I'm wrong on that). Retrofitters on the thread in the past, which don't totally explain what they have done. Front operations for passing on work... did I say that 🤣.

yes if your version is 0514T... just extract the files and copy all folder and metainfo2.txt to the root of a sd card (format in fat32) put it in slot1 and push long on the superior button the activate the update menu

Follow these notes: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx...703&ithint=file,docx&authkey=!AAUViPBSobQRqIg . They're spot on and easy to follow.
Hope that ok @East Yorkshire Retrofits to recommend following your notes.

ok thanks for all the help.. when i check in the update menu my current version is MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0514T (0514) and i have downloaded version MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0516T_MU0516

What does the MU0516 stand for? This throws me off a little bit because it is not in my current version and I would hate to break the device ;)

It's perfectly safe to upgrade from 02xx - 0253, 03xx - 0368, 04xx - 0479 or 05xx - 0516 because you're staying on the same level of software (train). You only need to be careful if you're planning to go up a software level 02xx - 03xx, then 03xx - 04xx, etc. You don't need to worry about that as you're already at the top software train level. Just follow the link I posted in #998. I followed these the other day when I went from 0245 - 0253 and it was a piece of cake. Rather than starting the engine and leaving it idle, I took it for a drive whilst it updated! Only took 5 mins.

The MU0516 is the version it will go to. When you've done the update and check the version from the update menu, it will show 0516.

On an SVM matter I see the website

Does the decode for you, linked to above, takes the donkey work out of computing the clear code.

On a mib2 high mib tool via the Green Menu linked higher up and available in mibsolution link does the one press clear. I see there is a similar mib2 standard tool, has any one tried that out. This is suppose to sort out the pesky mib2 standard error you get via the workaround map update. Anybody tried it ?.

Info here...

Since the standard unit isn't on my car and I get ear battering if I mess things up I haven't tried the mib2 standard version of it. Would be interested in any feed back in whether it resolves the map update issue the "workaround" method can create.

There are experts about...

What was the firmware it was on previously, you didn't jump trains did you which you can't do without fiddling.

This link is the one using Mib Tools above which takes you to the very last release of Seat or firmware options if listed but you cant jump straight into a new series train.

I just wonder when you said stuck on the boot screen it's whether you need to change the screen parameters as per the above if it was that one (upgrading to firmware 1447) and it was an allowed upgrade, the hidden screen business. If so you VCDS the parameter, Odbeleven etc and you see the screen... failing that it will be the train issue. The hidden screen apparently you can play music, listen to the radio but won't see anything. If that you frig to the Cupra screen. I never went for the latest firmware used a patch kindly provided by @jpmedia.

Over to the experts.
