Yes from 514 but the jury is out on whether 516 is better than 515 for fixing AA issues. Reports that 516 isn't as good as 515 others say the other way round.
Hello,
thank you for the advice, I will download firmware 515 first.

Hey all! Newcomer to the forum here. Searched the thread, but couldn't find an answer to my question. I'm sorry if it has already been answered.

I have a Seat Alhambra, SW v. MST2_EU_SE_PQ_P0468T, that I want to update to MST2_EU_SE_PQ_P0478T (from MIB solutions). I've done some VCDS-reprogramming, e.g. making the door mirrors fold when locking with the key nob. Will this need to be reprogrammed again after the update?

No, you won't need to redo any previous changes. What you can do, to keep things tidy, is the following to remove an error that you'd see if you done a scan with VCDS/OBDeleven, etc.

"If you have VCDS/OBDeleven, go to 5F, login with S12345 or 20103, go to adaptations, search for “confirmation of installation change”. Enter the value presented here http://mib-helper.com/im-so-xory/ . Paste the new calculated value and press DO IT."

Hi All, it seems that MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0515T has been removed from the mibsolution.one database - would anyone happen to have a copy and would be willing to share it? I would most certainly appreciate it!

Where I told you the other day 😉... it seems to have broken into different skins. Others here may explain who have used this offering.

Yes, and I appreciate your help, but indeed it looks like everything has been broken down into small parts which I am unable to use for the standard SD card based upgrade. Perhaps I have just missed the information on how to use these files?
Therefore I was hoping that someone might happen to have the unaltered .7z file which they could possibly share. :)

Not sure where @MIB-Wiki is these days. I'd assumed the default was in the directory and the others were option as far as the images. Perhaps once you load it up you get options. Those are example screens. Probably a combination of generic mib tools for the standard with the update. Might be a suck and see and have 516 on standby. I wouldnt load it if you don't have 05xx release.

The info 515 Skin txt looks slighly worrying at first read. Think what that means if you have a 02xx, 03xx, 04xx with that conversion from elsewhere it's works with 515, but 05xx with hw50 unit with Most (optical sound out) it won't work. That's if it has an optical sound amp as of recent. Vast majority won't. Beats and sound amp, rather than Seat Sound. Pretty esoteric to have the Most connected. So not so worrying unless they mean the digital cockpit which does use Most.

515 might be lurking somewhere on there.

You can cut and paste the text of the skin text and find some talk of it on a Spanish board. Club Seat Ateca. I haven't been thru that... leave that to those committed to doing it.

Thanks for the info! I will likely go ahead and update then.

I don't own a device to do the programming. Paid a guy to do it two years ago. If I don't do the confirmation, will there be any fault codes or similar for updating? Thinking about warranty and service at the dealer.

Are there changelogs for different firmwares somewhere?

Most dealers ignore the SVM error. SVM = software version management. When the firmware is changed in the infotainment unit it sets a flag to say it's been changed. They work happily with the flag set. The algorithm to clear the flag was discovered, it's generated by the “confirmation of installation change” that Obdeleven gives you putting it thru Mib helper, other methods available till that site came out which generates the clear code. Put that in and it clears it.

Vag cars generate so many error codes these days dealers tend to ignore them.

Bit more on this, the 515 skins code isn't the firmware... had a look it's a fragment to change the skins.

Hi, does anyone knows why I have the message "Unable to read the file meta-information. Can't use Update Container. The current Software Download application is too old." ?
I have the 0345 version, should be 0369 the next update.

Yes, when the reprogramming was done a lot of error codes were found (actually one that was "real" too). I'm having the car in for service at an authorized dealer in some weeks. Just to be sure I will ask them about it in a discreet manner. :)

Thanks for your help!

Just taking a guess. The Hardware version is H24 so the Software should be 2xx. This to me looks like someone's done the Spanish update from 2xx to 3xx. Maybe it's something to do with that. Some retrofitting has definitely happened as the screen is now the 8".

Hi, yes the software has been updated from 0245 to 0330 and 0345 in 2017 (Spanish update) and also display has been changed from "6.5 to "8. Did anyone updated software to 0369 and worked?

Forgive me for brain dumping here but I've spent the last few days going through this thread in an attempt to figure it out for myself but I'm a bit lost.
I've got a 2018 Cupra 300 with MIB2.5, looking to upgrade both the MIB software and maps.
I'll need to update the FEC code to support newer maps, is there a procedure for this somewhere?

I also can't work out what software version I can upgrade to and if there is a certain path I should follow.

This is what I currently have installed.
Would appreciate any guidance.

You want 1447 AIO that does the FeCs all in one:

The link is here, it had moved:

That's the one being talked about recently is working. Given yiu are on the 1xxx firmware at the minute it should just install fine. People coming from much earlier firmware didn't have the cockpit displays to match. Yours has the themed colour surround so I guess you won't have the issue.

The other is Mib Tool option. You are on 1219 so the Mib Tool option is available. That's a FeC addition to what you have. That's covered in this post if you can find the current Mib Tool in the database. Things move about on the lobbyist maintained software library. I'm still on 1338 and but used Mib Tool. The issue then was 1447 was tricky to install but with 1447 AIO it's easier. So at the time I opted to get help from the technical folk here to do a Min Tool module for 1338. There is currently a min tool module for 1219.... assuming mib tool is still in that library.

Folk after that installed 1447 the convoluted way then installed mib tool for the FeC edit. Then other have had success with 1447 AIO (All in one it stands for) where the FeCs get installed. I illuded to how that works in latter post. There is nothing above 1447 firmware. Somebody adjusted the firmware number in 1447 AIO we can assume to make it look like a newer version existed. Chillout (The VAG firmware expert) on the thread confirmed there was nothing newer tgan 1447.

Mib Tool method but not required with 1447 AIO:

After the firmware update dive into the mib2 high map update section here:

A huge thanks and much respect @Tell for all his help and knowledge and the guidance he provided me so I can update my unit at the MHI2_ER_SEG11_P4709_MU1447_1_AIO_Build_19032022 Version.

Really easy process and for me not risky at all! Everything worked as it should and took around 15 Minutes.
If anyone has any hesitation or any questions can read the Posts above and search all the available links for the specific version.

PS: For anyone who has a SVM (Software Version Management) error after the update can use this Video on Youtube to fix it. (Worked for me)
