thanks guys, went to arnold clark to see a fabia vrs today and it was sold over 1 month ago and they hadnt updated the website due to a misplacement of the guys invoice. so i looked on autotrader and seen a guy had one for sale local to arnold clark, phoned the guy and went to view it......you will never believe this, low and behold this fabia was the exact one bought the previous month from arnold clark and now the guy was selling it to downsize to a 3 door :S , anyways i called up arnold clark (well the salesman i know) and he cross referenced the reg and it was the same one. its only done about an extra 500 miles since the sale and now he offered it to me, 2004 60500 miles, vrs, black said £4700, so i have initally agreed but hes waiting on a new V5 coming in. checked and its HPI clear 3 prev owners. Went a run in it and its running great, few wee scratches nothing major, my brother thinks its a good deal. Good chance its my next car :D

What a coincidence! Good luck with buying a new car, but just be careful when buying privately some people are'nt as honest as you would be when selling your own car, i assume your brother is going to be checking over very cafefully?

PS Haggle that price down a bit :bleh:

haha i already haggled like £300 off it, colin checked it over today and it seems hunky dory, and also done an HPI check and it came back clear so all should be ok..will crossrefernce the V5 details with the details i have of the guy and if thats ok then i shall sign away lol.

Page 48 of this thread.

...I see you are wanting to move over to the dark side (a diseasel) and possibbly an FR PD130, Have you thought about a Furby vRS? It may be cheaper and has 5 doors and is basicaly the same car and the same engine. I may be a bit biased as I have one.

nah there nice but im sticking to the seat fold, love th drive of the ibizas

Yep, I suppose, it was over 6 months ago (11 feb) so things have changed now. I haven't read this thread for ages (plus I un-subscribed).

I'm sure you've looked on and searched Briskoda, and know faults to look for on Fabias. Leaking rear doors, failing console bushes, stutter on the newer engines, etc.
