I was going to comment about the braided vac lines before, I definitely think it looks better in normal hosing.

Stunning isn't it. Modding a car is a good crack, but I absolutely adore seeing engines in this kind of condition. Mines an absolute $h1thole by comparison.

consider an MBC if so.

I have the Forge MBC and Greddy EBC bill, so will bring both

I know we wont have time to wire up the EBC, but I think it will help tomorrow with the MBC....as when trying this out a while back the car seemed smoother and boosted harder (it's a solenoid I know, but there was a definte improvement):)

Finally got the intercooler pipework just how I want it, I had to cut one pipe and create a new bead and all the silicone hoses on the hotside are all now high temperature nomex and aramid reinforced. I managed to remove one more join too so it all neat and tidy now, I used t-bolt clamps too.

Yes I am running a Collins twin-piston BOV, after running some A/F and fuelling logs it makes zero difference, all I had to do was back off CH03 in Unisettings slightly and that's it, sounds awesome and no problems! :D

certianly mine is feeling a lot quicker and still some more to go and with an actuator that is working properly

I feel the level of power I have is very useable on the road as the map is very progressive:)

Looks even more awesome, Rob. How did you do the beads on the charge pipe?

Master cylinder looks scruffy and I would swivel the clamps so the bolt is under the pipe, myself... (sorry, I can't help it)

I used some instant/quick steel putty stuff, made a bead on the pipe, cures in 10 mins and is as hard as steel. Seems to have worked as they're not moving, the big clamps help too.

I *might* move the clamps round! ;)

Oh and this winter I am considering removing my headliner and covering it with black alcantara/suede ... something I've wanted to do for a long time ... watch this space. :D

Mmm agreed the bolts need turning around, possibly make the bolts shorter too.

Headlining would look a nice in suede although why not pick up a cheapy grey one, you can always refit the original one if it goes wrong and if it goes right - sell the black LCR one. They're £130+ vat from the dealer and they're only in stock in Spain.

rob have you seen this site - http://www.tastynuts.com/site/frameset.htm no its not a dodgy site

they do custom or different coloured bolts

basically you can have pretty much what ever bolt you want done in a different colour, titanium etc

they primarily do bike stuff, but a bolt is a bolt really. What I am doing is getting some spare bolts from Seat for different parts of the engine bay and sending the bolts to them, and getting them done in gold

I think this would really finish your bay off nicely perhaps :D

Anyone know what the time/labour cost involved in having a set of IE/Stone 19mm forged rods installed is? I'm guessing it's alot based on stripping the engine and rebuilding it with the new rods and bearings? Fancy having these fitted when the baffled sump goes on.

Rods can be done in a day, or a weekend at home.
