Indeed yes, mine had twin 40's too on a rebuilt 1600 sport engine (I rebuilt the engine myself with mostly Burton parts, Kent cam, etc.) - sounded awesome and went well, tons of rwd fun, especially in this weather, I used to go up to the local industrial estate at night and throw it around the big empty car parks in the snow and ice ............ wicked fun!!!

I owned it from '85-90 and sold it when I got married, the young lad who bought it wrote it off within a few months I believe, couldn't handle it! :censored:

The carbon fibre sheets arrived today, so I now have what I need to modify the mirror bases to fit the new carbon mirrors, hopefully this weekend. New pics next week. ;) Bonnet pins fitted this weekend too (weather permitting!).

Ok bonnet pins are done, had to use the steel pins as the underside of the carbon bonnet isn't deep enough for the aerocatch type, I don't think they would have worked where I have fitted the pins anyway. No matter, I'm happy now the bonnet is secure with 3 point of contact securing it at the front (pins and standard catch).

Mirrors should be finished tomorrow or Tuesday - pics after that! :D

Haha - they were great wee cars eh, alot of fun!

Well I finished the mirror bases today and mounted the mirrors to the bases, they look great! Will hopefully get them fitted on the car tomorrow. If I do I'll post up some pics of the bonnet and mirrors.

Backdraft Motorsport baffled sump arrived today too, considering having it powdercoated before fitting. :D

Has anyone got any tips on how to run the water pipes from the back of the car when relocating the windsheild washer bottles to the back and also what to do with regards to the wiring?

You don't need to run any water pipes, you just connect the front washers pipe to the one that runs to the rear washer, and discnnect the rear washer pipe and connect it to the tank in the boot. I only had to run 2 wires to the boot for the pump.
