Just a small update as things have been a bit quiet with the cupra lately.

Had to get two more tyres for the front and as I'm on a budget I went for T1R's again to match the fairly recent's on the rear.

Would've gone for f1's bit seeing as these are £20 cheaper per tyre and I'm happy with the performance. Next time maybe... Camskill all the way!

Also thought I'd add a small detail to the front to get rid of those 'fried egg' indicator bulbs for some nice pearly blues...

I keep putting off doing too much with the car as I have been toying with selling up for something cheaper to run? House funds ya see! We'll see how it goes :)

I've got silvertec bulbs hate the orangey look really makes a difference. I have F1s from camskill but won't be getting them next time as no one on earth stocks them or if they do they are soooo expensive and when I needed one asap I had to wait days so not practical. Will go for t1s too they are still really high quality tyres thou!

Hey Riko,
Awesome project. Just a quick question, where'd you get your Jetex from and would you recommend one over a panel filter/modified box jobbie? Should I expect gains from fitting a jetex cone?

Had a quick look on the internet and found one for £46..

I stuck them down with the silly little velcro things they supplied. Silly, I know. The next ones I get will be stuck on with something a little stronger...

Oh... about the posts, I only got the 1st page, was wondering where they went, but they came back today :cartman: Meant to delete that bit but my internet died :p

Thanks mate. I bought the jetex directly from them over the phone. Don't bother using any websites, you'll be waiting an age for it. Took 2 days to my door and I got a 10% discount!
I don't think many peeps have bothered with a panel filter tbh not entirely sure of the reasons but I imagine the cones have better air flow, just need to make sure it has decent cold air feed. Defo get gains from it though, search jetex in the mk3 section and all will be revealed. I'm sure Benny ran some logs with his one?

I got hold of a stubby drivers mirror and despite it's colour, I couldn't wait to put it on!

popped down to hafords today and picked up some 'Ford Graphite grey' so I can spray both mirrors to match my wheels and bump strips.

Thought Id go the whole hog and get grey primer and clear lacquer for the perfect finish! Hopefully will be completed on monday.

Car is looking very nice, stubby will come up nice aswell once you spray it up. Good work.

Finding them pretty good to be honest. Bit of squeeling when booting it off roundabouts but think they're bedding in nicely! Just need to get the chassis a bit stiffer with arb's and sorting the coilies.
