Just re-reading, do you really want to put new, expensive alloys on when you're learning to drive? I left it a couple of months after I got the car, I ended up scratching 1 or 2 wheel trims in that initial period, but this resulted in me never marking the alloys in over a year of use after that
What with parallel parking etc you'd be a hell of alot better on the steelies for a few months.
