Still can't get the god damned wipers off and also that clear bit of plastic sort of inbetween the wipers on the panel just pretty much turned to dust. Is that bad?

Quick question, how did you install the oil temp or plan to?
As in where did you drill it in?

The oil pump has a space for the sender to screw in. By the filter apparently

So its just a simple screw in? No hole drilling needed

Possibly an adapter to change the thread to m10 or something like that, but yh.

The hole is m10, most sensors are 1/8th. Or you could use a oil sandwich plate.

Right, I'm about to wire it in. Should I go into one of the wires that goes into the headlight control panel? Any idea which one?

Adam, I've connected both the gauges to the red and black power lead from the headlight control panel but one of them is dim. Is that going to be because the other one is closer to the power source and drawing too much power?

Jobs a good'n. A wire had come loose when my mate stuck the fusebox back on. Didn't have time to have a good look at where the oil sender goes but I've got the gauge all fitted and the wire to the sender in the bay. I'm happy with the look I'll get the sender done tomorrow if possible but if I need an adapter I'll sort it next weekend

Glad you got it sorted. I took my power, earth and switched live from bottom of the fuse box.

It weren't too bad to be honest. This was my first time doing proper electrics and I made the amateur mistake of turning on the ignition and looking for a live wire to jump into without testing it with the ignition off. You can guess what happened.... I won't make a mistake like that again! Glad you told me where to drill through or I never would have been brave enough to do it, so nice one for the help. One more quick thing if you don't mind.... Can I get to the oil pump to stick on the sender from the top or should I get it on the ramp?

I'm not 100% sure where it is but I think it's on top of the filter housing? Without having a look I'm not sure and I'm not with my car to check at the moment.

If you can't sort it I would say the sandwich plate is the easiest option.

The bloody hose popped off the t-piece and I guess stopped the dv operating and the turbo made a pretty nasty noise. Sounded like a flutter valve in pain.... I'm not sure if the sound was the turbo forcing up the piston or it was the actual turbo really not happy, but it didn't sound good... I reattached the hose and superglued it so it won't come off again, and the turbo still boosts to the same psi as before and sounds fine, but I'm guessing whatever that noise was, it wasn't good.....
