Ahh got ya. That's exactly why I went for the analog as well. Nothing else on the dash is led.... I think the kits come with instructions and I'm not too worried about the oil temp (there's a place to attach the sensor on the pump housing apparently??) but I'm not so sure about the boost gauge or where to power them from..... I'm quite hands on though so it shouldn't be a problem

There is but it's M10 and your sensor is 1/8th. I'm pretty sure you can buy an adaptor. I put mine in a sandwich plate incase I wanted to add a oil pressure gauge at a later point.

I'm not sure about yours but mine only needed 1 set of wires then the 2nd gauge piggy backed from the first.

Boost is easy just T it into a vacuum line, mines in the one going to the dump valve.

I'm not thick, this is just completely new to me so bear with me....
So should I buy a m10 > 1/8 converter?
What's a sandwich plate?
I need to put a t piece in which hose coming out of the DV? Not the one coming out of the top I'm guessing seeing as that's to do with the n249??

Yeah,. Wait until your sensor comes so you can double check it's 1/8
A sandwich plate is a plate that sandwiches between engine and oil filter, it allows sensors like oil temp/pressure to be fitted.
Yes that is the pipe the T goes in

Thanks for the info. I thought that hose that comes off the top of the dv was just a vacuum line so the n249 could pull the piston in the dv up making he boost recirc? I've connected that hose to the other hose that comes from the front of the inlet manifold that used to be connected to the n249 aswell. Sorry to get all complicated but I like to understand things rather than just do it because someone said to.

You can put it in that one if you like, they both take vacuum from the inlet manifold ...... I personally don't like the idea of putting it in line with the fuel pressure regulator but that's just my opinion.

Ok, if yours works then no drama. Im still slightly confused why that hose on the too of the dv is pressurized tho? I thought that was just to make the dv dump boost, why it is always under pressure from the turbo? If you're not sure then fair enough but I thought I'd ask

It's constant because it comes straight from the inlet manifold, the fuel regulator is the same as again it comes straight off the manifold. The best way and the way I did my first Cupra is to remove the manifold, drill and tap it then run your own separate take off for the gauge.

So if I hadn't done the n249 bypass would I still put it there or would it not work because it wouldn't be directly attached to the manifold anymore?

My a-pillar arrived today. Am i right in thinking this goes on top of the old one rather than replacing it? If so, how did you attach yours? Mine came with a screw but I want it to look as original as possible. I would try glue but that's probably not a great idea, just incase I need to remove it one day for whatever reason.

I've just seen the screw cover which should make it look good enough for me. Just let me know if this a replacement rather than a cover before i go butchering my car ;) the gauges don't arrive till tomorrow anyway so I think I'll go see how the fitment is.

Thanks

Hrm. Judging from how it's going to sit id prefer it if it replaced the pillar but wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. Time to phone nomad....

Hi guys, these gauges look really interesting and amazing in the car..

Few questions, i'm looking at getting the PSI and Oil temp in degrees C put in but I'm having trouble finding this 'nomad' pillar mount. Is it possible to get the link of where you guys got yours from please?

& Also is the installation hard? Would it need to be given to a garage ?

Thanks guys any help will be appreciated!

Getting the old A pillar off is just a case of pulling it away at the right angle. the nomad pillar is a really good match apart from I am having a hard time finding a way of attaching the new pillar because it doesn't have the clips the original did. A bit of DIY required but I'm confident I'll get there
