Looking good Phil.

Couple of things though.
Are you leaving the crash bar like that?
Are you planning on running beads on the pipe work?
The crash bar has lost alot of its structural ridigity with removing that piece, I'd revisit this.

Also I'm surprised that your boost pipes haven't blown off yet without beads on them. I'd do something about this before finishing off and getting remapped as I'm sure the extra boost will give you problems.
Also it's not just a blown off hose, this puts major strain on you turbo as when the hose goes it has less to push against so can lead to catastrophic failure of the turbo.

I have beaded the hose with JB weld Willie don’t worry  I did think about the strength of the crash bar, and ran a piece of square bar inside it just above the cooler it should be ok [B)]

I was thinking about this last night, also with respect to the PM you sent me.
Rob had a modified crash bar, when he drove the car it felt really loose in the front end. He changed this back to the OEM one and all was well.
Perhaps the change in crash bar stiffness has caused the understeeryness of the front end.
No reason why the change of ARB could have cause this but the crash bar is a bit suspect TBH.

Just a pic of the engine bay with the Jetex filter and cold feed which comes from the fog light hole.

Phil, seems like you have a leaking injector, perhaps #2
I had this too, I got seals from Lucas for much cheapness that did the job

Not sure how much they are from lucas but there about £2.50 each from the stealers and you need 2 per injector if its same design as the LC ones:)

Phil,

This definately has to be one of my favourite projects on here. Love the spec and the choice of mods and keep up good work.

Cheers,
Maz

Cheers Adam, mine is an LC so should be the same as yours.

Yeah I wasn't sure what injectors you had :)
Was just looking at you picture of your intake manifold, it looked like the injector seats were dirty like mine. This was from leaking petrol/boost pressure past the injector o rings.
Might be a wrong spy by me though

I got the ones from Seat but these were incorrect and very difficult to sus out from the VAG computer system.
What I did was call my local Lucas supplier, gave them my injector part number and they supplied the kit for £3 per kit. Each kit had 3 of the seals I needed so only needed 3 kits.
There is two part numbers on your injectors, note these before calling and they'll know which ones are theres.
