PS: The dealer has relented and I will be paying for the car on collection day.

They still keep telling me that in the future (and with some dealers already) that we will all have to pay for our cars a couple of days ahead. I was so hacked off they finally gave in. Tossers :)

Glad it worked out for you mate.

Look's like you'll get your car before me at this rate :blink:

Looks like I am only going to get my car on friday evening/sat morning now. Car being taken to garage down the road to get skirts painted and fitted (about 2 days), then back to dealer to be supagarded and finish PDI and registered.

For all the inconvenience the dealer is going to paint the crap grey mirrors covers for me free of charge, so not a bad deal.

I was planning on getting it done at some stage anyway. Dont really like the chrome ones on the Cupra either so colour-coded is the way forward for me I think.

I think the colour coded mirrors will look great :). Turns out my car does have the Ipod, so glad thats sorted. NOt sure what else I want to do with the car, maybe get it Revo'd in a few months, or Jabbasport Remap.

Friday isn't that far away mate, not after what you have already gone through.

What are you doing for transport at the moment then? Sure I have read before now, but along time has passed since you posted up lol.

No news re mine yet mate, he phoned yesterday evening to confirm details, so they could register it (could of sworn he had told me it had already been done) then said they were going to try and get it ready as soon as possible. But they were still waiting on parts being delivered, parts that I was told ages ago would be pre-ordered so as not to hold delivery up!!!!

Sorry to hear your news Rich, guess you are getting really hacked off :). I am just glad its almost over now.

At the moment I am driving my Smart forfour Brabus. Its a little 1.5lt engine thats turbo-charged to 177bph, so gets 166bhp/ton.

I am making the most of it while I can before my girlfriend takes it over. She sold her old 94 Fiesta a couple of weeks ago, so doesnt have a car, so she is just as impatient as I am for my FR to be done.

Dont see why yours is taking so long, what parts are you waiting for?

I was quite hacked off yesterday initially (another story lol) but so long as there is nothing else wrong, then I'm happy to sit tight and wait for it.

Waiting on;

Side Skirts, Rear Parking sensor's, Door Trim Kit, Load Liner, Arm Rest, Cill Protectors and Mat's. Think that's everything.

Hmm, now that would be strange, it has to of been registered to that plate, otherwise it could go to something else couldn't it???

We certainly do get told different thing's.

I am surprised more doesnt go wrong the way things are handled all the time. Your skirts should take too much longer hopefully but you have a few more as well, oh well.

Well I will take some pics when I get mine so you can see what a candy white looks like with the skirts on as I havent seen any pics anywhere else yet, also the coded mirrors.

I will get some extras too, ie, the sill guard and the load liner but didnt want to wait, I can do the sills myself, you just need a hairdryer to heat the glue and then you plonk it down, job done :)

I even expressed my concerns re my order from the word go with them lol.

Yeah, get the pic's up mate :D

I would normally fit everything, but they aren't charging anything for the simple job's anyhow so I wasn't too bothered.
