I don't know some guy in cannock, i've got his number if you want it! it was an absolutly mint car, put alot of effort in to it! sold it for 3,000 had to get rid of it as it had been sitting around for 3 months as i'd brought the cupra!

Sorry mate i would have rather you had it to be honest, lol I put it in the auto trader and it went within about 2 days, so there you go!
But to be honest its a good move upgrading the kit on your car, since it cheap to run!

ive got a 1.6 sport.. the only things that make it look like a cupra are the headlights colour coded bumpers and the interior!

Going back to the first post by mat.

As far as im aware there is not 1.2 in the Mk3 range, the lowest being the 1.4's

Was the 1.4 mk3 a 16 valve lump as the 1.6 was an 8v?

would fitting Cupra suspension kit to mine make the ride height lower, the same as it is now (40mm drop) or standard height?

as far as i know, the cupra suspension, which is the same as the 1.6 sport, is a 30mm drop. definately wasnt enough for me so i bought some fk silverline x's

yeh unfortunately.. ive got my old suspension lying around if anyone wants to take it off me!

i'd like to keep same height if poss, maybe a little lower! shocks will deffinately need replacing bfore MOT (aug), dont fancy gettin coilys as I want a new car within next 18months or so!

That does ring a bell, i think i've heard the cupra ones give you a 30mm drop.
I'd stick with what you have if they will hold out for you

Are you looking to stay with the MK 3 when you upgrade your car or are you going for anoth vag car?

would love to have a mk3 cupra. but depends what about at the time. way i see it, is that there wont be many decent cupras about (that haven't already been tuned/thrashed), i'd buy a ready tuned one if i knew it had been looked after etc

the mk4 fr is temptin at the mo! thanks to t. sparks influence

but as i said, we'll see when the time comes. 99.9% likely it'll be a VAG car! maybe even a Mk5 cupra (if they look nice and I have th epennies)
