My Seat Ibiza PD130 - Big Turbo Time ;) GTB2566VK

Heres a couple more of how low parts are, I need to cut the inner plastic arch and I need to raise the exhaust, the Exhaust is about 3cm off the ground.

Oh, snapped ANOTHER engine mount! ffs....

Oh Dear, FK didn't make the bolt hole big enough on the back of the shock therefore I when going over a large bump, the shock slipper down, hit the CV boot and burst it.
Did some DIY on it and fit a new boot, what a nightmare!
Ride quality of the coilovers is good, build/welding quality is shocking, they look like universal coilovers with welded bits on, well I guess thats all it is anyway!

Hey,

Thanks for the interest!
Defo not this weekend as I'm doing a 800mile trip, should be next weekend though, as soon as I have it booked I will update my RR!
Cant wait to get it on though as the standard SMIC is crap.

Cheers!

Sam

Right, Update time;

Two new engine mounts arrive, the bottom dogbone mount that I have bought, I have filled any gaps around the bush with tiger seal to make it solid, I cannot ever see this bush wearing out.
I have also bought a new top mount that is currently snapped, I am going to find a way to make this stronger as I cannot see ANY point in uprated engine mounts.
Fitting after work today.

New problem, please if anyone is reading this help with any input as I'm stumped.
For a while I have had a rattling noise coming from the front suspension which I thought was a bush, but no, I checked them and they are all find. When swerving hard my steering would go hard for a second. Over the weekend my PAS light came on and I lost power steering, but after turning the engine off and on it comes back on, sometimes. I fitted a new battery as advised on the forum, but this did not fix the problem. I am starting to think its the steering rack due to the rattling noise. I also noticed a quiet grinding noise when steering at low speeds, like a rubbing metal noise.

INTERCOOLER: as waited for a LONG time its finally going on Saturday, along with all new boost pipes, not crappy extensions from the standard pipes.

Exhaust is getting raised due to scraping on bumps.

Backs going lower :) as I raised it.

I think thats it for now.

Could it be the drivers side drive shaft hitting the chasis?
Mines about < 5mm away!
And with your inner arches just cut the whole edge off of them, i had to with mine before i rolled the arches

Cheers mate!
Only thing is the driveshaft isn't rubbing and its not the arch, obviously the arch was rubbing due to the lows! but I already have cut it out =/
This cars turning into a nightmare but I'm trying to live with it, I've been looking at other cars but can't find anything I like apart from a skyline.

I know it isn't helpful but I think something must be twisted at the front of your car with your mount issues and suspension trouble.

Looking forward to the intercooler work :)

Hmmm possibly, but I've had a look and cant see anything, guess I can measure everything and make sure its correct.
Anyway, engine mounts are done with some DIY Uprating! lol
Will upload pics later :)
Power steering tonight! Checked all pipes last night and they are not leaking, no leaks anywhere infact, thinking the fluid is low tbh. (If I didn't add, my power steering keeps turning off).

Cannot see anything wrong with the power steering at all and everything on the suspension and chassis seems to be fine!
Was just doing a 100mile round trip and half way on the way back (after 75miles) the power steering turned off randomly again.
Starting to get on my nervs =/

Anyway can't wait for the intercooler going on tomorrow!

You checked the load cables that run across the gear box ? My power steering kept going cause a cable was snapped there
