I dont think Toby was questioning the quality of the intercooler itself, just the thin pipework it comes with. But you can always upgrade it at a later date. Its a quality cooler

Havent had much time recently so the cars been looking pretty sorry for itself. So with the sun out i thought it was about time it had a wash.

Few reflection shots

All credit for the paintwork goes to maz who detailed it about a month ago now, soooo easy to clean now and still looks stunning imo.



Bought some new fuel lines to tidy up the engine bay abit so just need to get a small washer bottle and relocate the battery.

Also fitted a Leon Splitter and a new badge, not too sure what i prefer to be honest.

Looking good Liam, cars looking mint! Liking the new front badge along with the splitter and bra the dark colours work really well with the blue of your car! Would love to get a splitter but my driveway would eat it in seconds!

Liam I do think it looks better with the dark S especially with the bonnet bra. So so pleased car is looking spanking still. I think of your car as our love child

Now the splitter is on it finishes the look nicely.

Thanks for the comments people. The bra had to come of because of the weather but what do you expect, its england. I think it will all look alot better when the d90's are back on.

Not too sure on the black badge, might be something i just need to get used to, lol. For now its staying on.

I keep meaning to pop down to the meet but the bloody shift work messes it up most the time. I'll keep an eye out for the next one.

Hi mates

the forge intercooler is good enough for k03. If you analyse it, youll find some really bad facts. The air is comming in direction from the back of the car, bumps in the edge of the intercooler (not good for airflow, that slows...) and then, it has to go through pipes, that haven't even curves, everything is angled. The diameter of the pipes is also not everywhere the same. I had this intercooler, i talked sometimes with mates and for example with hooch about it, i threw it out and made a coustom FMIC with 60mm pipes diameter and no edges

Nevertheless it's okay for standard k03

The car is filthy dirty at the minute, not had much time to do anything on it unfortunately. Seems like the new house has stolen all my time and money, lol. Hopefully i'll get the new bumper sprayed up and fitted soon and then i might pop down to the AMD RR day.

I got the fuel lines from the link in the fuel line thread, its on here somewhere. I did get the connectors off of ebay though.

Just because it's forge doesnt mean it's the best cooler out there. Bill has highlighted the intercooler piping as being restrictive in certain areas and this is something i may look at if/when i go hybrid.

See you one morning last week at the Fordbridge roundabout. Looks good. Didn't spot the bra though. Spotted the black bit on the bonnet however.

Let me know when your thinking of getting the bumper done. Will give you details. My new bumper goes in next week along with x6 fog lamp covers.D'oh.
