WOW! Your engine bay is loking very tidy now mate! Love what you have done with the forge fmic aswell! Colour of it suits the blue perfectly. Where did you get that mesh from by the way? Need to get mine done as its getting bug splattered big time.

Great work mate!

Hi mates

the forge intercooler is good enough for k03. If you analyse it, youll find some really bad facts. The air is comming in direction from the back of the car, bumps in the edge of the intercooler (not good for airflow, that slows...) and then, it has to go through pipes, that haven't even curves, everything is angled. The diameter of the pipes is also not everywhere the same. I had this intercooler, i talked sometimes with mates and for example with hooch about it, i threw it out and made a coustom FMIC with 60mm pipes diameter and no edges :)

Nevertheless it's okay for standard k03 :)

Not what you want to hear after spending a few £££ on one. I did message forge about this but they assured me it could handle 300bhp.
There are two people on here running the forge fmic with hybrid turbos, im not sure if they are having problems with it. Always got my old one as a spare, lol.

Have a look here for the mesh, quite cheap imo aswell.

You didn't understand me :). I won't say, that its bad. In my opinion (not only in mine) the layout of the pipes, the different diameters, al the edges, no air flow routing plates inside...this is not optimal. The diameter of the pipe, thats comming behind the FMIC again to the codriver side, has a smaller diameter, than the one above the engine :(

Im sure, that you can handle 300 an more HP with it, but i claim, that its 100 times better, to drive a good 60mm diameter selfmade FMIC. I also had the problem, (kit was mounted nearly 30.000KM) that the angle on the FMIC, that holds it, cracked off the deck of the FMIC. I went to my exhaust maker, he weld it for me again.

So, i don't wont to degrade your good caprice. I just told my experience :).

I did notice the size difference in piping and was concerned about it.

The brackets holding the fmic have been strengthened now so hopefully shouldnt break but i'll keep an eye on it. I think if in time i go for a bigger turbo than a ko3s i will get one custom made but for now it will do :)

Dont worry that bracket will be getting sorted, i dont want to take it off and see all the crap underneath.
My coolant hoses were a :censored: to get off.
