If we are in that fortunate position(lets hope so) would team orders come into play?

I doubt it, as SEAT's absolute no 1 priority is the Manufacturers title.

JP's championship comes second to that, and at this early stage i can not see any team orders.

Just analysing the sector times, and speed traps, and the Leon's consistancy shines through, even though its nowhere near the fastest car.

In fact the fastest cars thru the speed traps were Matt Neal's and Gordon Sheddens TD Honda's, and the VX Astra's follow them closely, the Leon's don't appear until midfield. Over 1mph slower through the traps than the, Hondas, also being beaten by indy driver Mike Jordan's, the Astras are 0.5mph up on the SEAT's, and the MG RAC's are around the same kind of speeds through the sectors.

As id just read on another forum, only a few mins into qualifying, that some whiners thought the SEAT's were too light and needed weight adding, i think this kind of shows that the Leons are slower cars.

But the consistancy of the car thru the twisties, means it makes up the time it loses on the straights, but those Honda's are still a threat, as qualifying has clearly shown.

I also thought the Seat's were carring the most weight anyway from being the race winners from Brands.

they're basing it on championship standing this time - but its just as valid a point since JT is 'heavy'

If they could get some more straightline speed out of the car as well it would be nice. I love my BTCC racing now everything comes to a halt for it. Shame the Free practice and Quals are not on channel 413 live.

they could run totally S2000 rules if they wanted.... but instead the picked the bits that suited them with the better engine spec (so they have s2000 body work btcc wing for lower drag, more downforce)

they started with a blank piece of paper & chose the heavy option.

Can't understand why Dynamics didn't switch to S2000-spec this year. Doesn't seem to make sense to put money into development of a car which can't be used next year

Don't remember Matt making any noise last year when the Integras were running rings around everything else - I remember Plato on TTT saying that there was obviously something wrong when you could see the Integras weren't even using all of the track in a number of places but were still quicker.

It's like the issue of "contact" between cars - it's fine if Matt does it but if someone hits him then he gets all carried away and starts calling them "pigs" :w4nk:

The teg's have an increased roll centre. which I thought was odd since that'd load the outer egdes more... still - they're going down. 888 will moan like crack *****s that the Leon is too light/fast but the end result is they didn't develop the car, and bought in crap drivers. can you say budget cuts.
