On the mk2 Cupra you could tell the differences between the FR and Cupra engines from the divertor valve position , are there any noticeable differences on the mk3 Cupra ? And say golf gti engine

That is one thing I did look at. Diverter valve on both engines, FR1.8 and Cupra2.0 are direct, bolted to the turbo. Not remote like the previous generation Cupra.

Couldn't see any physical size differences with the turbo either, but I would suspect the Cupra is a twin scroll or some other internal arrangement that differs to the FR.

I can equally assume there is likely to be head differences beneath the engine covers, for the larger displacement but as mine is effectively brand new and Scott's is only days old too, didn't seem fair to pull out the screwdriver and start looking. :D

Has anyone found good deals on the Cupra? Seen Broker4cars mentioned on another thread but their vehicles probably pre registered to a company first and then V5 sent sometime later with buyer as second keeper.

I used carwow. 'drive the deal' and broadspeed seem to be fine also. Not much to choose between them.

I used drive the deal as well, though I got quotes earlier through carwow for an Audi S3. So far everything has been fine and once you place the order you deal direct with a main franchised Seat dealer.

Only hassle is having to sell existing car as DTD do not do part ex.

I had a cheeky test drive on the weekend.... First time using a dsg aswell.
It was such a nice car to drive, I was really impressed with the power aswell.
Sadly the numbers we crunched at the dealers didn't quite work for me so had to reluctantly walk away.
Has anyone here opted for the lower powered cupra at all? I'm wondering what sort of numbers I could work out if I looked at the lower powered version and looked at the websites mentioned here.

Go to drive the deal, Carwow or Carfile. You will get circa 3.5k of list plus can do pcp, hp etc...
