You'll be lurking around in the "Expected Delivery?" thread like me then? That's the best thread on here in my opinion :D Turns grown men into fully fledged ship botherers! A great laugh ;)

Hello guys, my MK1 Cupra R was stolen last November so yesterday I ordered my Cupra!
Leon Cupra 280 SC DSG
Nevada White
SEAT Sound System
Alarm (not standard here in Portugal)

If all goes well I will have it 8 weeks from now, maybe earlier. I will wait and see.

Great vid and a good experience I am sure as well :)

I popped into my local dealer today to have a look at the Cupra , they had a 5 door 280 in there and does look very nice.

I noticed that on each of the wheel arches there are little plastic inserts that are about 5 inches long and the rear ones stick out around half an inch.
I assume these are little deflectors or mini mud/stone guards and would love to get some instead of the mudguards.

I asked the dealer but he did not really know much about them.
Anybody know if these parts are avalable to order yet.
The bits of plastic themselves look like they would fit all MK3 Leons :)

And yes forgot to take a picture :(

Perhaps something to do with the 19" wheels. I remember seeing a mk2 LCR and it had similar on the rear wheelarches. There was a thread on here suggesting it was some legal requirement due to how much the 19" wheels protruded.

Either that or I am mis remembering (which is quite possible!).

Think you are right about safety and keeping bigger wheels within the arches, so just a tiny extension to cover themselves I guess.

Think they would still help a bit with keeping the car a bit cleaner down the wings as well.

You can just see them on the rear arches on this 280...

:)

Just watched it. Come on SEAT! :D

Its a second faster than the Golf R round the track and 4k cheaper. Funny thing is the GTI is almost faster than the R. Goes to show the half fat 4wd isnt the fun variant of the quattro/haldex range.
