Exactly what it says above, cut out the centre section last night and fitted a LCR Splitter, i need to finish it off tonight smoothing it all in etc.. and dont know wether i should put mesh in or not, i think it looks mint as it is but dont want stones, small animals etc.. killing my intercooler

if anyone else has pics of this done with mesh can you please post them also

I would mesh it mate! Gona cost a fair wack to remove a rabbit from the cooler fins lol, if you get a fine mes you will still be able to see the gaping mouth lol

think it will only offer protection to things like small stones etc ...

was thinking of putting some mesh on from the new leon FR grilll, cutting it to shape and fitting it

I personally think it looks better dumbing it down with a bit of mesh, and I can also say I have had no more bent fins since fitting it and the degree of cooling stayed the same. I got 3 bent fins in 2 days of fitting the intercooler, after putting that mesh on i've still only got 3 bent fins after 3 months.

How have you attached yours to the bumper?

I think you should leave it TBH it too big an area to mesh well and may look a bit poo! ;)

I love being able to see the FMIC plus you can clean it easily to keep its bling up! :D

need to bling it up anyway, hopefully getting a buffer and metal polish today at dinner, not too sure how to "bling" the fins though as they will probably either bend or rip the buffer head apart

will post some sat mate, going to try finish the bumper then, then going to fiberglass some ducts which will fit the side vents so direct airfeed to the xxl dinatwist, and have brake ducts each side
