Yours is a one off BF system, 200 cell CAT and 2.5 inch zorst, I specced em up with Stokey after the A&M fiasco, but i never got mine fitted in time and so had to go 100 cell cat and 2.75 inch zorst after.

Not anymore fella as ive had two or three new ones as ive had issues with cracking pipes etc so mines the same as the new ones

Blimey, you really ain't been lucky with exhausts. Seems like theres no ideal zorst solution for the LCR, my BF could sound better.

APR DP and Milltek would be the best place to start but just havent got the funds.

Ive noticed today my fluctuation isnt as bad as it has been. Something to do with the weather?

i agree, weather is a big factor. in the cold its jerky, in the hot, cant notice it mush, most times i notice it are at night when the temp drops.

is that the same with you?

possible, but how easy is it to change a temp sensor and which one? ill hook up VAG-COM and see if i can find any faults on both engine and central conv. and see if anything pops up

maybe a log could shed some light

Just did a N249 bypass and no difference. I did however play with my DV and stretched the spring a bit and it seemed to improve it but then it wnet again

i'm concerned! playing last nigh... full throttle in 1st, into 2nd no bost...oh hello bost you decided to show today.

nothing for half a second and it wasnt lag it was up in the revs...trid it again fine no problem at all!

To add complete confusion to this thread my car has exactly the same problem, the confusion comes from the fact its a 2L TFSi Golf.

I've had what you describe no boost for a second or so when going from 2nd the 3rd. I also get the hesitation low down the revs however its only when its under 6c or so in the weather now (around 13c) the car is running perfectly. When it was minus 4 one morning I could put my foot down at 50 in 5th and it would hesitate all the time. Dealer thinks it could be faulty knock sensor and the ECU is first knocking back the timing which can give the hesitation, then if it thinks its still knocking it knocks back the boost which could give the total loss of power for a second or so Anybody changed there knock sensor ? I would assume a 1.8T has one ?

The dealer won't change mine as at the moment my car is running spot on. (They have already ruled out the MAF, DV and some other valve I can't for the life of me remember what he called it but assune it along the lines of what the N75J does)

well ive just ordered a new N249, well i hope it is as the stealer didnt know what its called, gave him a part number 028 906 283N which i found on elitedubs (N249 diverter valve selenoid) according to them
Cost me £34.72 which will be here thurs. so ill fit that and see if that helps

does anyone know EXACTLY where the N249 is on an LC? someone said beside the oil dipstick and under a plate aparantly

I am tempted to try a different N249 on mine to see if it cures this problem, cant see what else it could be - N75 seems ok as its the 3rd, pipes all seem ok.

Whats the possibility of this being the problem do we think?

Which bit is it?
