a quick question about delocking. if my fob goes down does that mean the only way i can get accsess to my car is smashing the window. i dont expect any one to give away any security information just ensuring this is all i have to do.

No you can get in through the boot, also you need to do a central locking fuse relocation to the boot this is fairly easy, this needs to be done incase the fuse blows, there is a how to on the site some wher.

Right, you relocate Fuse38 to the cuby hold by the drivers right knee.

This means if your central locking fuse blows, you can climb in through the boot, change the fuse, the unlock the doors. If the fuse is not relocated, the fuse box cannot be accessed with the doors shut, hence you have to hack your dash to get at it.

As for your fob dying, you just need to climb in through the boot & put the key in the ignition to turn off the alarm..................or swap the key fob battery lol

Just bumping this as i have heard this

Yes it's a very common thing on TTs, you can prevent it buy going to Audi and asking them to disable the window shut option on the remote control (apparently the two are linked).

I really can't see the electrics being that vastly different between the Audi and a Seat.

Worth a try though.
